I wish a few of our posters would take lessons from you lot - you've been the most fair and balanced (and not in the Fox News way) of all the opposition supporters we've had this year. Thanks.

Always said the Brisbane supporters were the best as a group on Bigfooty (LIONS then DAYLIGHT excepted of course ;)), and you've proven it yet again.

Good luck for the rest of the season, a finals series without the Lions would be just wrong.

Cheers Mr Q..... some of your supporters are pretty cocky and I suppose one thing about the three we won, and the one we lost, is we've learned how one bad day can ruin a years work in a heartbeat. I mean we were 1/5 against the Pies in 2002 and nearly lost (and easily could have) and then we were pretty much flogged last year when expected to win. If we can't win this year, as I suspect we can't from where we are though I live in hope, I hope you guys do it because you deserve it on the season you've had. It can go wrong very quickly though. I suspect you appreciate that and a few other Eagles would do well to consider it. Great home and away seasons don't entitle you to anything. You have to go out and do it again in September.

Yep, also consider 1999.

Essendon were easily the best side that year but blew it when they had a bad one in the Prelim against a pumped up Carlton.

The Blues were never in it in the Gf the next week against the Kangas but that was and still is, little consolation to Bombers supporters. They still talk about '99 as the one that got away.

It takes a lot of small steps to get to a position to challenge for the Flag.........and then you have to clear 2 or 3 almighty big hurdles to actually win the thing.

One stumble over any of those last couple of hurdles and it's "Good night Irene."

It's never won until it's won.

Mr Q, thanks for your kind words. By the way congratulations! The Eagles played magnificently all throughout the game… It was a little disappointing but if we were to lose to any team, the most honourable way is probably against the Eagles as they are a great side.

I would also like to return your compliment in terms of your fellow supporters; the majority of your crowd is quiet civilised but are overshadowed by the …not so behaved ones in recent. It’s a shame, I know …but all teams have them (unfortunately). Also if there’s any truth in some of their recent comments about how there’s a lack of appreciation and respect showed to your team then I am sorry. I’m sorry if your lot feels cheated in that area but I assure you almost everybody recognizes and acknowledges how wonderful your team is - simple as because it’s an obvious fact.

Yes indeed, it’s not hard at all.

The build up had been huge, we had been in great form, and we got our bottoms well and truly smacked.

That hasn’t happened to us in years. Up till now we have either won these games or we had at the very least had given a very good account of ourselves.

The Eagles are playing superb footy, class above the rest.

They were brilliant and dare I say it, playing on a different plane to ourselves.

Aha! This is the explanation I've been seeking. The Lions played their game before they got to Perth, on the plane over. Thanks for that Tim.

thanks mate. It'll be interesting to see how far both your and our team can go.

Oh my.... I should've said playing on a different level then? A level above what we were capable of playing!
