AFL's a great game with many joyful moments, but it's the sad times like this which make us appreciate how great our game is and how great Glenn Archer was to not only North Melbourne but the AFL in general.

Hard-nut, Charities, great sportsman, a family man.

Don't know what to say, or how to feel. Am shattered, angry, proud, and feeling honoured all at the same time.

Hurts like hell knowing that we won't see that passionate bastard run out for us ever again. Devastates me that we couldn't deliver a fairytale ending so befitting of a true legend of our club, and our game. But am proud that he played for our club, because we were a perfect fit. Honest, dour, no nonense. Arch is everything we hold dear about our club, personified into a human being. And I feel so lucky that I have been able to watch his whole career develop and unfold. I will tell my kids and grandkids about the great Glenn Archer, the Shinboner of the Century.

Thanks for the memories Arch. Don't be a stranger.

What a wonderful player, hope he stays involved with your club in some way. Sad way to go out ,but there were lots of good times. The crowd gave him a great send off. God we have lost some champions this year.
