Yes, congratulations Hawthorn. My initial reaction is that Hawthorn really went for it for four quarters whereas we did not MAKE it happen.

So the Hawks played the final how it should have been played and i just hope like crazy that our guys and the coach, after three losing finals, finally learn that "attack is the best form of defence". I haven't had the guts yet to watch the replay after being at the game, so maybe my opinion will change then (as it often does - i tend to not be so negative after seeing the video after being at the game). I felt so bad watching the chippy game, knowing that the guys were not going to play their best nor win that way.

Firstly, it was great to meet Macca and Santos, they're both great blokes who certainly know there footy!

Secondly i'd like to say GO YOU GOOD THINGS! I can't describe how proud i am, they were gutsy till the end. I had a feeling we'd win, even at 3qtr time. We were kicking to the scoring end and i knew that they wouldn't lie down.

Bad luck Port, you're a team that is definitely going somewhere and next year should be a big one for you. We played better finals footy on the night, that was the difference.

Can't post for long now...Grand Prix just about to start.

But firstly let me say cheers to Macca and Santos...both great blokes, was a most enjoyable afternoon having a couple of beers and talking footy with you.

Obviosuly I'm still on Cloud 9...I don't think the fact we are in the Preliminary Final will sink in until I'm lining up tomorrow.

But like Chris said, I'm incredibly PROUD of the guys, they really did give everything, and I'm just so glad I made the decision to go to Adelaide...it was a long bus ride, but DEFINITELY worth it. The sheer joy that was felt by Hawthorn supporters at the ground when the siren went....I only wish I could describe it.

But it was a close, tight, incredibly hard fought finals match. To the moron in the Adelaide paper who gave it a 2 out of 10 and said there was 'absolutely no physical pressure', what game were you watching mate???

Hopefully tomorrow I will have a report of the trip up - but I'm just really really happy at the moment!
