Well one of our greatest defenders, if not one of our greatest players is set to play his 200th game against essendon.
Have to say he has been my favourite for a long time, with his consistency and talent.
He will most likely retire within the next few years, but will do so being one of our best and will probably finish in the top few for games played.

Let the tyre pumping commence.

Strong lack of Shane Parker appreciation in this thread; seriously though he is a ****ing gun. His agility, speed and contested marking make him one of the great defenders of his generation, and yet he's never got any recognition for it. Hope we win against the Bombers for him, a true Freo champion and more importantly a champion bloke is Lukey.

Fantastic player, one of my favorite - a true professional - always puts in that required endeavour and desire not to be beaten. Truly deserves to be All Aust. Has worked out to be one of the best players traded in to Freo. Even though he came as a result of "THAT TRADE" which is deemed a total failure by so many in footy - they keep forgetting how good to Freo Luke has worked out.

Thinking our other backs are understanding from playing with him the level and commitment required to become top in your area, not just the new Lyon influence, but Luke's understanding and continued direction and demonstration of it. I hope at least a couple more years out of him at this level - he deserves ultimate glory as much as Pav. And give our backline time to truly establish themselves as best of this era - a lot of further onfield guidance/demonstration needed from him for the future success.

This game should mean a lot to the whole playing group for what Luke represents and does, not just the 4 points - looking forward to this game

Truly one of the best players going around. Disciplined, athletic, a clean player, can dominate a fwd as good as anybody and isn't at all arrogant or showy about it. The true exemplar of a professional AFL player.

Love him to bits and this will not be the first time I've admitted I've got a man-crush on the guy. Congrats Elvis.
