it would be blessed if they can run it anyway near the train system in hong kong. having said that, MTR does run other train systems outside Hong kong and reliability is nowhere near the 99% it currently has (in hong kong)

May be a Hong Kong company, they'll still hire lazy australians though.
And where do you think the large workforce of people skilled in running a Metro system will come from? I hear a French company just lost a major contract who used to do that.
I'll give you the tip. The two biggest problems with the system apart from the money put into the infrastructure are the drivers union, and the maintenance contractors. Well there is going to be the same shit level of funding, Connex's maintenance crew aligned them selves with MTR, and you got **** all chance of breaking the drivers union. Basically the system is going to get far worse before it will get any better.
Odds on when everyone wants Connex back?
The system has nothing to do with the operator, it is all to do with the infrastructure the Government provides it with.
Agreed. It's Lynne Kosky who should be given the arse, not Connex.

Would like to hear more on the issues with maintenance crew. I used to work for mainco whilst studying people were good to work with most people worked hard. The porblem was to mcuh middle management jbos would be reported and then to arrive at the job with no one where th emount of worked needed.
To much labour and time overkill for people on jobs. If this had better management it could become a lot more efficiently run.
how does this impact myki?
