Consistant captain vs. Week by week captain

I change my captain each week depending on who i feel will get the most points for the week. I have done well sometimes, got a few 130+'s, but i have also done bad a lot of times, a few sub 50's including the 27 i got from Hays last year. The inconsistency is annoying. I was wondering, what is better consistent captains or week in-week out captains.

I went week-by-week last year and did awful, averaged around 80.

This year, just sticking with Bartel the whole year, has got me 98 twice so far which is OK.

Stick with a star, ie Judd you need to have the security of knowing you are going to get 160 from a captain.

probably going to stick with west the whole year, got me 172 last week and 206 this week.....

I will be using either Pavlich, West or Kerr as mine this year. Depending on who they are playing and of course form will depend on who I pick.

Week by week for me.

If you are smart with your choice of captain you can get 100+ from him nearly every week.

ill keep a cpatain till he loses form. Kerr has been mine last 2 weeks and until he drops off he will stay (unless another has better form).

Im going to take it week by week. The last couple of years Ive had one captain the whole season, so I want to try something new.

I don't necessarily agree, to a certain degree you want to switch it up each week depending on the opponent. Teams generally score less DT points against a team like Sydney so I'd tend to shield my captain from matches like that. I'd say stick with a core group of consistent performers from different teams.

I've been switching it round (and last year) and keep getting burnt lol ie had Black this week (was stupid i know), seems to be whoever I dumped as captain gets up the next week for a big one! ...perhaps a way to get Bowden/Cornes/Hodge up?

Kerr
Judd
B.Johnson
Pav
Black

There would be others too, but thats all i can think of at 2 in the morning....

I go week by week. Made Spida my Captain because of Richmond's lack of ruckmen, and it paid off significantly.

518 points from my captains over the first two weeks.

So not too bad. and that is from rotating.

I would be in favour of sticking with probbaly the same two or three captains, so basically only changing when you see a bogey game coming up, i.e. Sydney.

I had Kane as captain first 2 rounds and intended on having him the whole year but this week I'm going with Lucas because he is good vs. Carlton and his last 5 scores are 100+ whereas Kane is **** against Adelaide

if u do ur research week by week is by far a safer option...prior to last round dalsanto was a clear option having a gr8 record vs the lions (36, 32 touches last 2 meetings) he got 137 pts in the end...

that being said u shuld have a narrow feild of players to choose from eg. judd, dalsanto, pav....players that get 100 when not playing tht well...

captain frauds - b.johnson, barry hall - these 2 players are great when on song but get sub 50 scores more often than other stars...there gr8 players to hav...but when bad....they stink....

went Judd last week, but swapped to Kerr this week due to the doubt over juddy. i have over 500 from my captains as well. I stuck with Judd last year (except when he was missing obviously) and did well out of it.

chris judd has and always will be my captain unless he is injured or suspended of course i have about 8 or 9 worthy captains so i also have backup when he gets injured or suspended

I like the week by week idea, however when you have a star with such consistency as adcock, it is so hard to justify a change...

How the hell can you call BJohnson a captain fraud, he played poorly on the weekend and still got 200points for me as captain.
