LOL!!!

Ok I got a cordless mouse for a desktop (dont hava laptop). If you are looking for a top of the range - LOGITECH. Its the way to go.

They do actually work. Seems to roll better then my other mouse I had before.

Any questions... just ask.

I'll stick up for the Microsoft Meeeces :) If there's one thing MS can do, it's stick their name on very excellent pointing rodents. I have 3 Intellimouse Optical Mice in the house, and they're all brilliant.

I don't like cordless mice in general, you have to change batteries in them (though not very often, at least 4-6 weeks).. the tracking SEEMS a bit laggy to me.. and what's the point, you still have to plug the receiver into the computer right? :)

To each their own though - try a couple out and see how you go.

Get a mouse with a cable. They're cheaper, they don't require batteries, and as Des says, you still have to plug the reciever in each time on a laptop, so you're not making life any easier for yourself. And with a laptop you're never going to be operating the mouse that far away from the computer that it makes a difference.

Been using wireless since 2000. The keyboard sucked.

Yeah i go through batteries but heck I dont have the cable in the way. Mines a logitech.

One thing though perfomance varies. Once the batteries are dying you can tell.

I have used the intellimouse and i didnt like it.

I also use a wacom. but thats a different story all together. ;)

My mate from uni has a laptop, and he has this itty bitty mini mouse that goes with it. Buy one of those, as judging from the sore finger you are not used to it.

Logitech has the best cordless optical - the MX-700, but it will cost you an arm.... Thats what turned me against it, so I picked up the MX-500 instead, which is just the same but with a cord. The MX-700 has a base station which is used as a charger which is handy.

Yeh I got the MX-700 as a birthday present this year from my brothers and sisters. It's the best mouse I've ever used.
It seems a bit chunky at first but once you get used to it, you've got no problems. The only bad thing is that if you forget to put it on the base station overnight it tends to run out of power pretty quickly.
