Any ad that features cricket would have to be a contender. The Commonwealth cricket ad is a contender, highlighted by Greg Chappell's attempt at acting.

Those KFC 'cricketer's box' ads aren't much better. I can never understand how people who film cricket in ads get the basics so wrong. In the KFC ad of a cricket match, all the fielders appeal 'Howzat' when the batsman has been bowled. :o

And the KFC ad with Grandpa, I wouldn't necessairly say it's corny.

It's just crap.

the other Commonwealth Bank featuring a soccer ref is even cornier. There's a married couple & one of their mothers arguing in the kitchen & the ref comes in yelling "time out !!!" .He then starts crapping on about interest rates.

Surely the corniest ad is Hello,Hello :o

Two get my award..

HELLO HELLO CHRIS AND MARNIE!!!!

And

SUNRAYSIA .....!!!

I'm sorry they annoy the hell out of me... *cries*

I'm not sure whether the 'Hello, Hello' ads qualify as corny because they seem to be deliberately be corny and lame, as if it's their trademark.

For me a corny ad is one that tries to be hip and cool but fails dismally. The McDonalds 'things that make you go hmm' ads would qualify under this definition.

What about the 3AW ones for -

"Sam Walker from Bargain Tiles.."

"F-O-W-L-E-S is Fowles Auction Group - pay cash and pocket the savings!"

"Wolters Mesh and Steel Lintels and if you order before 7 that morning we'll deliver the same day"

WOOHOOO!

But damn catchy I have to say!!!

Here are a few:

1. Equity mate.
2. Cricketers box
3. The ref with the yellow card (Commonwealth Bank)
4. The ad where a guy says "Do you control technology...."
5. Any Orange ad (simply because they are on too much).

Ladies and Gentlemen if you want corny ads come to Adelaide:

Bed e buys

Delfin Mawson Lakes
Myer centre
Rundle Mall
Brickworks
Suzuki in the City
Wayne Phillis Ford
Angle Park Dogs

Nationally:

Any KFC

BTW i like the Wolthers Steel and Lintels.......imagine getting your steel on the same day if you order by 7;)

Rooster Demon - what about Cunninghams?

And do they still have the one for the roofing company with the 2 talking magpies sitting on the roof? I think it was Bramalco

I just came back from holidays in Echuca/Moama and on either Prime or Win there is an ad for a chemist. The chemist does his own ads to get your prescriptions filled at his shop.Trouble is he reminds me of the killer in the Pscho movie. Fair dinkum this guy is a shocker.

How about:

Lets keep Australia safe - Report a Terrorist ad
Anything with Samuel Johnson (Secret Live of Us)'s whispery voice.
The "I thought you were investing this year... YES! We Are!" ad

Also the HBF ad where the lady demands her rebate for her obstetrician (sp).

oh my god!
This guy is in my home town Bendigo.....Matthew Web of Lannen's Pharmacy....he is quite infamous now.
People got to his chemist just to see him....
He had a two page spread in the local paper last week and the week before as part of a profile thingy.
His catch line
"Get your prescriptions filled here!!!!!"
He is a crack up....he has a speech impediment or something.....he loves it!
He said he even signs autographs out at nightclubs......lol :D

It's Crouch & Webb Pharmacy in Shepparton now.
I like the way his head wobbles when he talks. It reminds me of Moira from Good Morning Australia.

North Vic Insulation is another classic on Win.
First we have the talking sheep "hey Baaaarry, guess where my fleece is going". Then we have two backward hillbillies from Katamatite saying "Let us ... stop your money going through the roof".
