This country is an embarrassing joke, the governments introduced a 0 case policy and forgot to tell the public and that is what every stupid decision is based on.

I sound like a broken record but.....................

because.............tests = positives = lockdowns/border closures/restrictions

Negative tests mean nothing.

If you're sick enough that you would've sought medical attention prior to 2020, then you should still do so. Otherwise rest at home until you're better. In other words, treat it like you have every other virus you've ever encountered in your life.

And pat yourself on the back for not diverting health resources from people who are actually sick to test those who are well.

The UK strain hahahaha, wasn't your neck of the woods the South African or American strain in your overreaction lockdown.

102,155 tests in QLD in the last 15 days and 1 local case ( 2nd since nov 30 ) and they are locking down, what about all those negative results and all those tests, surely they count towards not panicking.

If you are sick stay home
If worse then go to a doctor get tested and a diagnosis then discuss treatment.
If you are otherwise fine why get tested? What will it achieve?
This whole thing is based off asymptomatic super spread which is illogical and unproven.
Virus are not alive. They don't leap person to person. You are exposed to millions of viruses in your life. In most cases immune system will fight it off unless you are compromised or get a massive viral load. Healthy people don't go round making others sick.

Quite. I'm kicking myself for initially supporting measures to 'flatten the curve', which gave the green light for the increasing restrictions and sleepwalking into a zero Covid strategy that followed.
