I know it's a long shot and their hands would be tied, but wouldn't it be nice if a sportsman (AFL for example, their lives are hell during the season now) came out and said they think it's all bullshit and more people should put off the vaccine etc.

Thing is their employers PR team would tear them a new one, as would social media and bigfooty.

The Covid-19 vaccine developed by China’s Sinovac Biotech has an efficacy of 83.5% based on final results of Phase III trials, Reuters reports.

Turkish researchers revised the rate down from a preliminary finding of 91.25% after monitoring 41 infections, 32 of which had received a placebo.

The trial showed that the vaccine prevented hospitalisation and severe illness in 100% of cases, with the six people who were hospitalised all in the placebo group.

These guys aren't speaking out against anything. They'll do exactly as they are told, and they'll get paid well to do so.

Yeah it's weird - it's like peek medical bodies, public health officials, politicians, scientists, the bulk of public opinion are all out to counter the anti vax message, it's almost as if they think that the spread of those messages will cost lives and hurt our ability to get back to normal. They really should be ignoring all that official scientific mumbo jumbo and listening to the real stuff which is found in the dim recesses of the internet.

Are they saying the South African research on 2000 patents that showed Oxford AZ vaccine to be ineffective, that is no difference between that and a placebo against the South African strain is a lie? South Africa banned the Oxford AZ vaccine and magically statics show that it is effective against the South African strain in England!

Can I be honest? Why do we care? We are kind of feeding the narrative. In my eyes Fauci is a nothing. HawkDorks opinions are more relevant then this guy by a mile in the reality of the situation

We have a complete inability to frame the position of bias and calculating that into our ability to absorb information. Its something we should be better at in 2021. We should ****ing know by now as a society that biased opinions hold less weight, but then it kind of hit me just 5 minutes ago. Is it a situation where we only receive a biased opinion? What happens when you do not get a alternative?

I guess what happens is this. Go to China, look up Tianamen Square and look at the images section. China is the birthplace of the biased opinion. People see it as a communist act but in 2021 we have kind of blown away this as a definition when democratic societys enact the same actions. What is the difference between that concept and what China does? I cant see it myself

It makes me laugh a bit how so many people especially in Australia atm are high and mighty about our way of life and so down about China as a whole. If you feel negatively towards China, why cheer the cloning of its social hierarchy in your own country? Why cheer the same political actions? Its a case of being blinded I suppose too the reality of the situation.

We need to move on and not let the actions of the majority define us as the minority I suppose. It is definitely possible I feel. If 2021 has taught us anything is you can corrupt the system to fit your wants and needs, so I guess thats what we do? Ill personally be paying someone to give me a vaccine certificate and pour the vaccine down the drain when the time comes. I suggest you do the same

The exact same situation happens in China though. Everyone spreads the same message because thats what the government tells them to do. When you dont, you end up like Jack Ma. In jail for 4 months and in a life/death situation.

I guess the sad thing is, we think we are above it and above corruption. Can I ask why you think this is so? Geniunely curious and dont mean it as a disrespectful thing. I guess I want to know where your trust is coming from and why this situation of trust differs from that offered by the Chinese government to their people?
