Some of you may not have the discipline to stay at home and self isolate as per the rest of the population pre-March 30 - I do.

Maybe we need to add this to our Visa questionnaires, right next to;
Have you ever committed genocide?
(admittedly I think that's on the US one, not our own...)

Edit: Not suggesting that you'd be wiping us all out! Just tgat trusting individuals isn't usually the best idea.

It sucks BrisDog, but unfortunately it has to be done & it's how you get from the airport etc to your house that's also a risk (unless you've paid for long term car parking I guess - but even then others would abuse that & catch a bus or cab).

Probably telling you to suck eggs, but a few suggestions:

Sit down & write a daily schedule including breakfast, lunch, dinner & then fill in the gaps with varying activities (e.g: breakfast & newspaper, workout, shower, lunch, ring someone, TV - pick a series that you only watch 1 episode a day so you've got something to look forward to, vent on bigfooty!), dinner, listen to podcast *2nd Murph/Bont one is out & you can watch online. Stick to your timetable each day.

I have actually made a gym out of the hotel room furniture. I am using the marble table as a seated shoulder press weight press. I have turned two sturdy chairs into a dip bar/contraption. The same marble table can be used as a wide bicep curl contraption.

Legs tomorrow. I learnt something - Police can enter hotel rooms at their leisure with their new draconian powers. He entered when he heard me grunting (rep related) and I told him to f**k off which he did quite politely.

Anyway, let you know how the legs session goes.

5. The ship was allowed to load 24hrs after a cruise with suspected Covid-19 cases disembarked into Australia. Then it went to sea again and came back with more cases and everyone was allowed to disembark.... again. You are either setting guidelines or not.

Great work! You're up to the challenge then. My gym's been closed for a couple of week's now & the stuff I'm doing at home with the furniture & steps etc is freaking harder than at gym! You're obviously a lot fitter than me tho (I'm too old - that's my excuse).

I returned from overseas yesterday. Flights would not allow me to leave earlier.

Unfortunately I am now in forced isolation in a hotel room under Police guard.

I never thought I would see Australia act in this way.

Unfortunately mate, people have proven they can't be trusted to voluntarily isolate so it has come to this. I fully support police-enforced or military-enforced quarantine. It's the only way to do it as far as I'm concerned.

Next time you're diddling yourself you should try grunting and see if he walks in again. If he does walk in then make eye contact and keep going. Bonus points if you finish before he walks out.
Make sure you finish into your elbow though to avoid spreading the virus if you have it.

So many people forget that bushfires are actually a state issue. It is only when it gets to a certain point that it becomes a national issue and once Andrews asked for Scomo's assistance with ADF, it was implemented within days.

Watched Andrews' presser this morning and they are talking about reducing PT to a weekend timetable at some point. I know it's not ideal economically, but wouldn't it actually be smarter to keep the current amount of services (or even add more) to allow for social distancing. If there are less services available, it gives commuters even less options and forces more people to share a carriage then they otherwise would.

Could that example be the norm? Maybe he thought the grunting was someone struggling for breath? I don't know and that may sound stupid (and might actually be stupid), but what I certainly can tell you is if someone died in a hotel during quarantine, VicPol (and probably other authorities) would be hung, drawn and quartered. The police have a duty of care and given the heightened risks associated, they have probably been instructed to check on persons if there is anything unusual at all. I can't imagine there would be too many people repping out weights in their room, hence the noise (and activity) was probably not to be expected from their point of view.

Internationally, CNN, Washington Post, MSNBC are all right centre. They might be Left compared to the Republican Party BUT that doesn’t make them Left Bias.

I didn't have a specific country in mind, but certainly drew inspiration from both of those countries. One advantage Australia has is at least some publicly-funded media which are not subject to commercial pressures. (I guess the US has PBS, but it's partly donation-funded, which makes it a bit more vulnerable.)

Remember AG Bill Barr telling the world Trump had been totally exonerated, before the world got to see the total report.

There has also been a lot of footage of Chinese medics going to Spain with medical supplies including ventilators.

However, the virus originated in China, probably from the cruel unhygienic wildlife markets, they still don’t know which animal it originated from. These markets and the trading in Wildlife, many endangered has has to be closed down and severe penalties issued.

Where do we start, how about the casualisation of the Labor force, but always on the employers terms. Turn down a shift you don’t get offered the next one, there is a downturn so you are laid off. Go back 20 years ago, when people still had job security.

We are a racist country, that still has not looked at and accepted its history of genocide to the first Australians. It’s not taught in schools, it used to cover some of it until John Howard refused the “black arm band version of history” stripped the schools of the curriculum that actually educated young people on Australian history and taught what it means to be a citizens. However we are happy to plunder State trained NZ professionals like medical staff, because the high HECS fees and lack of Austudy, is a barrier for many people to study and support themselves here in Australia.

We now charge exorbitant fees and charges to people wanting to live permanently in Australia, $10,000 for a visa.

So how about, aid to the South Pacific region, thats right the good old Coalition slashed it all, then became very indignant when China moved into the void that Australia had left.

From an American perspective CNN and MSNBC are left as well as Biden, however internationally they would be known as Centrist.

The Republican Party is just an insane organisation far more right wing than the LNP over here so when they call anything left wing they are usually referring to what would be called Centre right anywhere else in the world.

Anyone who doesn’t agree with them are labelled left, Australian Liberal party do the same thing, as a tactic to undermine and silence dissent.
