Based on what I've read today, Thursday night's game should be an absolute cracker as both teams will field 'near' full strength squads.
Just wondering how Cotchin and Coughlan are managing their respective injuries and whether Terry decides to provide them valuable match practice before Round 1? I say, interesting times ahead if we make the NAB Cup GF!

Cotchin will be lucky if he is ready to go by Round 1 let alone a NAB Cup match. They've been pretty quiet with Cogs, hopefully he can play in one our matches whether it be NAB Cup or NAB Challenge.

Didn't know that Cotchin could be several weeks away! What is the actual injury? Is it the achilles tendon? Hoping our medical staff can fastrack his recovery somehow!

cotch may be ready round 1, but they'll probably ease him into it about round 2 or 3. Cogs will probably be training in 1 week so he's still a chance

In my opinion neither of them should be fast tracked. We should have the list to cover them for the first few rounds, we have had a really good pre season so far and we have a near full strength list. Cogs has the potential to really make the difference in our midfield this hear so we need to take all precautions with him. When he was at his peak, he was top class in extracting the ball from contests, hopefully he hasn't lost that ability. And Cotch, well like Terry said he is a 200+ game player for the club and if we have to rely on a 18 year old to win games we aren't where we need to be. Patience my friends. :thumbsu:

I will cream myself if we get to play all the guns in the centre this year

Coughlan, Cotchin, Deledio, Foley, Cousins
+ Tuck

2nd tier mids aren't starting to look that bad either with the likes of Jackson, Edwards, Polo, White and Johnson just there to add some experience.

Supported by the players I mentioned earlier, also Tuck, Johnson, Polo, Jackson, Tambling & co puts us in a unique position, something I have not experienced in 25+ years when Raines, Wiley, Rioli, Weightman, Rowlings, Welsh, Monteath and Keane were our successful onball brigade.
BRING IT ON!

Was talking to someone at richmond training and he sounded pretty certain Coughlan would not play any NAB but possibly round 1 and Cotchin would be back around rounds 2-4 and his injury is taking a bit longer then expected to heal.

Wasn't danny frawley was it?
