Heard second hand via a media journo that Cotchin and Martin have had a few toe to toe arguments in their time together. Would be a case of pure professionalism and talent vs huge talent and lack of professionalism (up until last week perhaps).

Anyone else heard anything along similar lines.

Not beyond the realms of possibility and in fact entirely plausible.

Wouldn't really surprise me given Cotch's attitude compared to Martin's.

Hopefully Cotch wins out and Martin starts to copy Cotch.

Every man has a seminal day in their life when they move from being a dumb arsed teenager to being a man. Hopefully Dusty had his last week, Cotchin had his when he was 12, whilst Fevola, well we are still waiting

Anytime one of them kicks a goal they seem to get around the other pretty quickly so I think its either someone making up crap or cotch has recently told him to pull his head and they had a bit of a blew.

think fev and cuz might be in the same tool shed there, although he seems to have a few more brains than fev. cotch is the most mature 21 year old male ive seen in ages.

They play a hard tough sport together. I'm sure lots of the guys get a bit heated from time to time. No big deal.

I like Martin as he is, except without the alcohol and stuff, his attitude isn't that bad... you don't see him getting all pissed off and stuff like Riewoldt. Very quiet and when in the media talks in a modest way and speaks highly of the club, which is good. They're two separate people and we shouldn't change his personality to suit another's, we can only guide him in the right direction and allow him to develop into a responsible man.

Only in Hollywood they do. Martin has very little concept of discipline. He better pull his finger out. It's up to the entire leadership group to pull him into line.

Your probably close to the mark Tomnat. Or it was a training situation. I remember a few years ago some Tiger heads won a prize of entry into the rooms before a game and during the warm up between cotch and Matty white who were wrestling thought they were going to rip each other apart. Just part of being ELITE. Regular training rules don't apply to elite sports and can sometimes be seen as over the toptop or aggressive even violent to those unfamiliar or seeing it for the first time resulting in rumers of unrest or rift between players. Just a thought.

Wondering, if the rumours about Martin's social life are true, if Cotchin has had a few quiet words to him over the time. Given the age difference is minimal, maybe Martin doesn't appreciate it. would also lend weight to why Cotch will likely be our next Capt. Just a thought

cotchin had a wrestle with king at training and also another player, can't remember who. sometimes it's part of a warm up but sometimes they just do it to muck around

i know enough to be able to state as a fact that he has a VERY short fuse when he's on the gas, even if he's with team mates and other players.

and i'm talking about a couple years back in his debut year

posted about it but at that time there didn't seem to be any interest at all, more just a boys will be boys one off incident reaction.

can only assume he's matured a bit since then anyway

I'd say most players in elite sporting teams (especially those at the top of the talent pool) get into heated arguments regularly. Though never being in an elite sports team myself i'm purely speculating here..
