Pick 1 (Melbourne) JACK WATTS 195.8cm, 85kg : The monty pick of the draft. Watts, a supremely talented CHF who tested very well in the sprints, agility and vertical leap will head to the Dees. Has vice-like hands which probably comes from his basketball background.

Pick 2 (West Coast) NICHOLAS NAITANUI 200.9cm, 93.9kg : An athletic freak is Naita. Doing an apprentice under Cox would do him wonders and would prove a very scary ruck duo in the future. West Coast will look to bolster midfield stocks with later picks, but an opportunity like this doesn’t come around too often.

Pick 3 (Fremantle) DANIEL RICH 183cm, 83kg : Big bodied, highly skilled midfielder from W.A. All the talk recently is Stephen Hill, but I just can’t see the Dockers having enough guts to let this one slip through.

Pick 4 (Port Adelaide) TYRONE VICKERY 200cm, 88.8kg : Coming back from a knee reco last year, this lad has come on leaps and bounds and proven his worth as a top 5 draft pick. Excellent at the stoppages and capable of being dangerous up forward, it won’t be too long before he takes the #1 ruck mantle at Port.

Pick 5 (Essendon) MICHAEL HURLEY 192cm, 91kg : Bombers fans may want a mid here, but the talk I’m hearing is that this man is up there for the bombers prized pick. Big unit, ability to play both ends of the ground, this guy is too good to pass up. A backline of Hurley, Ryder and Pears looks formidable for the Dons in a few years.

Pick 6 (Carlton) CHRIS YARRAN 180cm, 84kg : Harshly under-rated on this board, this bloke has the potential to be the pick of the bunch. Clean hands, freakish disposal and has the ability to play midfield. This guy’s a ripper.

Pick 7 (Brisbane) JACK ZIEBELL 188cm, 84kg : Big bodied midfielder/flanker with outstanding disposal. I liken him to Hodge with the big, powerful presence. Brisbane have a winner and Jack is the type of player Vossy will love.

Pick 8 (Richmond) HAMISH HARTLETT 182cm, 74kg : I get the feeling the Tigers would’ve liked the big boy in McKernan at this pick, but Hartlett would be too good to pass up. Classy mid from S.A who could go as high as #3. Outstanding disposal by hand and foot, good in the clearances and an intelligent footballer all-round.

Pick 9 (Kangaroos) STEELE SIDEBOTTOM 182cm, 79kg : All class this bloke. Produced on of the greatest individual displays ever in the u/18’s grand final and that was just the icing on the cake of a fantastic year. I think Rusty would be one of Laidley’s favourites.

Pick 10 (Adelaide) SHAUN MCKERNAN 196cm, 95kg : Big boy this kid, tested very well in the sprints and vertical leap at draft camp. Don’t think the Crows will select him as ruckman, but more so as the big bodied CHF they’ve been crying out for to replace Burton. Also I’ve heard the Crows are very, very keen.

Pick 11 (Collingwood) JACKSON TRENGOVE 196.5cm, 85kg : Highly talented CHB/ruckmen that the Pies would be crying out for. Very mobile, freakish leap this pick could prove a bargain.

Pick 12 (Sydney) STEPHEN HILL 187cm, 72kg : Slightly built, dashing left-footed midfielder who will provide the run and enthusiasm the Swans really need. They probably had Trengrove or McKernan marked down for this pick.

Pick 13 (St Kilda) SAM BLEASE 183cm, 72kg : Quick outside midfielder with excellent disposal, he’ll be the injection the Saints really need in their midfield.

Pick 14 (Western Bulldogs) AYCE CORDY 201.7cm, 70kg : Father/Son pick. Have not seen him play.

Pick 15 (Geelong) LEWIS JOHNSTON 192cm, 87kg : More so a half forward flanker in my opinion, similar to an O’Keefe/Murphy mould. Would be a great 3rd foil for Lonergan, Hawkins and Simpson.

Pick 16 (Hawthorn) TOM SWIFT 190cm, 84kg : Can’t say I’ve seen him play all that much but from what I hear the Hawks could have another superstar on their hands.

Pick 17 (Melbourne) RHYS O’KEEFE 187cm, 80kg

Pick 18 (West Coast) MICHAEL WALTERS 177cm, 75kg

Pick 19 (Melbourne) JORDAN ROUGHEAD 199.7cm, 91.75kg

Pick 20 (West Coast) MITCH ROBINSON 188cm, 77kg

Pick 21 (Fremantle) NEVILLE JETTA 178cm, 75kg

Pick 22 (Port Adelaide) JORDAN LISLE 196cm, 93kg

Pick 23 (Essendon) NICHOLAS HEYNE 187cm, 79kg

Pick 24 (Fremantle) AARON CORNELIUS 192cm, 84kg

Pick 25 (Brisbane) JAMES STRAUSS 185cm, 81kg

Pick 26 (Richmond) RYAN SCHOENMAKERS 194cm, 85kg

Pick 27 (Kangaroos) MICHAEL BROADBENT 189cm, 81kg

Pick 28 (Adelaide) ASHLEY SMITH 184cm, 83kg

Pick 29 (Collingwood) NICK SUBAN 179cm, 82kg

Pick 30 (Sydney) TOM LYNCH 191cm, 84kg

Pick 31 (Western Bulldogs) TOM ROCKLIFF 183cm, 83kg

Pick 32 (Western Bulldogs) MICHAEL STILL

Pick 33 (Geelong) CLANCEE PEARCE 183cm, 90kg

Pick 34 (Hawthorn) JAYDEN POST

Would love some constructive criticism.

Trengove and Suban - I would be Extremely Happy with those 2 Picks

Freo have #24 but i'm sure they'd be stoked with Cornelius here.

I'd be happy with Naitanui, Walters and Robinson:thumbsu:

The most ideal would be if Swift slid to our 18 and we swooped on Walters at 20.

No doubting Yarran's ability, I just have an issue with what happens above the shoulders with this guy. Not sure he really is a WH type.
Why is there a general consensus on this site that Yarran is lazy?

Robinson isnt worth a Top 20 pick. Late 2nd, early 3rd Round at best.

Rich will not go to Freo
All the talk about hill is because Rich won't go to Freo, I dought WCE will pass on him either he is the best footballer in the draft

Nice work mate. Pretty close I reckon. I'd be rapt to end up with Johnston and Pearce. Exactly what we need, extra option up forward and a ready made running small backman:thumbsu:

A quick summary.

Adelaide: McKernan and Smith. Theres a gaping hole at CHF for the Crows and I think McKernan can fill it. Smith provides extra run and pace through an ageing midfield.

Brisbane: Ziebell and Strauss. Stacked up on mids. Voss will love these two. Hard at it and highly skilled.

Carlton: Yarran. Has that X-factor, will be great for them.

Collingwood: Trengove and Suban. Brown and Trengove as the two big KPD for the Pies looks good with Harry O. Suban would be a good replacement for Burns.

Essendon: Hurley and Heyne. Hurley that big defender. Fills a need. Heyne adds class to that midfield along with Prismall.

Fremantle: Rich, Cornelius and Jetta. Rich adds to that young midfield. Cornelius provides a helping hand to Pavlich and Tarrant. Would be the perfect 3rd foil. Jetta replaces Farmer, as well as having the capability to play midfield.

Geelong: Johnston and Pearce. Extra option up forward in Johnston and a ready made running small backman.

Hawthorn: Swift and Post. A different midfield option in Swift and the CHB they need.

Kangaroos: Sidebottom and Broadbent. Adds to midfield depth. Need some young blood.

Melbourne: Watts, O'Keefe and Roughead. Watts enough said. O'Keefe adds run and class and Roughead a very good ruckman which they desperately need.

Port: Vickery and Lisle: Vickery a 10 year ruckmen and Lisle would be a very good foil for Carlisle and Chaplin.

Richmond: Hartlett and Schoenmakers: Adds another classy mid and a CHF with massive upside.

St Kilda: Blease. Injects pace into a slow midfield.

Sydney: Hill and Lynch. Hill adds pace and skill. Lynch a much needed forward option. Can also play back.

West Coast: Naitanui, Walters, Robinson: Naitas a freak. Walters adds class to the forward line and Robison adds to midfield depth.

Bulldogs: Cordy, Rockliff and Still. Cordy a project ruckman. Rockliff and Higgins would be a nice combo, hes the type the Doggies love. Still an under-aged tall with great hands.

Collingwood's selection may rely on where they see the future of John Anthony.

Anthony is there to be a defender, but showed a bit up forward. However, when you lose Clement, Wakelin and Presti you have to seriously rebuild.

Harry has shown not good enough to take Fevola or Franklin...but is very well suited to a ground level player. Maxwell is slightly built as is Goldsack. No doubt we need a big body.

But i seriously think we should be going an in and under mid at this pick. Perhaps it will rely on whether Sidebottom has been taken...but i reckon we'd be pretty interested in Blease and Swift as well.

i really dont think freo will go for a small forward with our first three picks. it would be more beneficial to go for a developing midfielder and then get a player later in the draft like ballantyne or richardson to play the small role up forward immediately next year.

in my opinion we will go:
3 - naita/rich
21 - best tall (cornelius or schoenmakers)
24 - best mid (smith hopefully)

if jetta is there at 37 then we can get him but otherwise id much rather pick up ballantyne in the fourth round, assuming he gets there.

I doubt Fremantle will take a tall forward at all. If we were planning on drafting one, we would not have kept Campbell and Murphy. And unless Walters is still there, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't take a small forward until the 3rd or 4th round. Expect to see 3 midfielders with our first 3 picks.

Robinson isnt worth a Top 20 pick. Late 2nd, early 3rd Round at best.
I actually agree mate. I said this earlier. I think he is really over rated on BF. I think he will be the big slider in the draft.

Im a big fan of Smith, so I would love him with our 2nd rounder.
Not a big fan of McKernan.

Please Adelaide, go Schoenmakers with pick 10 :o

geez ur a bit harsh on mat deboer not in there he would of gone top 40 i rekon last year and this year he played league made all australian for the 18s and tested well hess quick and fit the only thing he lacks is disosal in some areas but still is a pretty decent kick and he aint lackin size either at 187 as well you be thinkin he woulb be getting picked up by this stage
