I hope he plays a few games in the seniors too as a reminder to other clubs that he is available for trade!!!!
A good average footballer at best, just what the club doesnt need!!!

You cant be serious ... cog's was going to be one the best RFC players in the last 30 years before his terrible run of injuries ... i have little doubt he'd be in the top half dozen midfielders in the AFL by now if it wasnt for his injuries .... but thats all coulda been ... just average he was not ... and he is exactly the type of player we have cried out for so long, a tough, prolific ball winner, could turn games on his sheer work ethic and had leadership written all over him

The thing i wish for most for the remainder of this season is cogs to get through ok ...

Fit and firing cogs in 03 form (yes its hopeful, wishful thinking, but we can dream cant we) = finals 2009. Simple as that.

If fit, he is exactly what this club needs.

Trade bait, nothing more nothing less.
His best football was 5 years ago, a lifetime in AFL football.
Supporters are deluding themselves if they think Couglan will make an impact!!!
Time to draft fresh meat, not tainted ones with questionable fitness!!!!!

Unlikely that we would get any decent picks for him, better to keep him there and see if he comes good, another bad injury and he is done.

Saw him today during channel 10s news looked very good invovled with the main group a chance to be picked for VFL hopefully.

ARTICLE:
MARK Coughlan is on track to finally make his return to football this weekend. Richmond coach Terry Wallace last night confirmed the midfielder was on the brink of playing for the Tigers' VFL affiliate Coburg.

"I think he'll play this week," Wallace said.

"If he gets through training this week, he should be OK to go against Box Hill on Sunday."

I admire his determination, and cant wait for him to get a handful of games under his belt!

Teriffic news, really hoping he can get back soon.
He would be a great asset to have back in the side to help mentor and guide our group our young stars.

Well done to TW and the football department for recongiing his worth to the club, giving him every opportunity to get 100% right and continue his stellar career :thumbsu:

great midfielder hopefully can play well at coburg this week and then get a recall by terry and then own west coast in two weeks
He hasn't played AFL in a long time, as much as we would all love to see him back ASAP it would be negligent to put him back after just 1 match at VFL, he will need at least a month of good footy at Coburg first

I saw a thing on ch9 news about Cogs making a return
I am led to believe that this blatant mention of Richmond on FTA television was a programming mistake and as such I have been assured by people at the station that it will not happen

also from now on Graeme Polak will now be known not as "Richmond defender Graeme Polak" but as "Non-Collingwood affiliated defender Graeme Polak"

good luck to cogs though

maybe...although i think the whole tuesdays with terry is for the humour of all the other clubs sometimes

side question: did you go to school at Antonio Park Primary? cos i have a feeling i think i know who you may be

Nice bloke Coughlan.
I asked him for his boots after the Rich/Ess game in London a couple of years back and he gave them to me. Was hoping he would win a Brownlow so I could retire on them.
Weird part is, since he had calfs blood injected in his leg, the boots have been making weird sounds and I have to milk them twice a week......
