Could buckley still play?

i was reading the hearld and this is what buckley said to them

Earlier yesterday Buckley said he was preparing himself as if he would make his return tomorrow.

"As far as I am concerned, I am preparing to play the match, as you do when you think you are ready to go," Buckley said.

r there any slight injuries in the team we dont know about? coz i cant see cloke or lokan coming into the side if there is.

maybe they might drop someone abit suss i think as time goes on

I would not be surprised one bit if he plays. A nice deflection by MM to make him an emeregency. I think he might play.

i think if his still alive by monday he will play.

i think its a smart move if he doesnt play ppl will be like ah well he wasnt in the 22 so be it.

but yeah if he plays ppl will be like theres a shock kinda thing i think that rowe might be the unlucky player though that might miss out.

Hope you're right.

The lift the team would get from having Bucks leading them out and there alongside them would be big.

Unless Ryan Lonie has a genuine injury or illness of some sorts I doubt he would be dropped for Bucks. Wouldn't the AFL fine you if you don't have a genuine excuse for a late change? Or does that ruling not exist?

well who are they gonna drop and no you dont need a real injury they could just make it up. Today the team trained as 22 and Lonie didnt train and Buckley did

not half obvious as to what was gonna happen here... i hate it when we play stupid mind games like this ..what are we ? - Essendon or something.!

it was always gonna be a Sydney game return ..why on earth would we have risked him for today vs a 2 week break for a definate safely return point of view !
even if if we lost ( and we did ) today !
that would've just been 'tunnel vision' at it's best to play him & a huge gamble at full pace work .

to me it was a case of ....risk him today with 50%+ chance of re-injuring ( even considering we have a loss today & another 3 -5 month's off for buckley - again )
or
in 2 weeks time ( even with 1 loss within this time )...to come back with bugger all risk ,and a chance to play rest of season ..and for us to benefit every game potentually to the end of year .
