Could Cousins sue the Weagles?

wow how the tables turn, for years freo supporters have said the eagles are gutless and lacking morals for not sacking cousins for every off field indiscretion. Now the Eagles bite the bullet and sack him after another run in with the cops and suddenly the freo supporters are saying we're gutless, don't give a stuff about the players and are just a soulless corporate entity for getting rid of the 'spiritual leader' at the 'first sign of trouble' (had to laugh at that one!). Seems no matter what decision the eagles make you'll find a way to spin it :)

Interesting and truthful article at the attached site. Really worth a read

The particular section that I thought was really interesting from the article is attached below. Cousins has taken the main rap but there are many more in the club who are as bad and have just not taken the heat yet, as the eagles are covering up a lot of it.

"The Age has been given the names of several prominent players so far untouched publicly by the drama who are battling their own drug problems. The names have been confirmed by several sources.

When asked to list the players, one insider replied: "It's easier to name the players who haven't at least dabbled. The one saving grace is that the outing of Ben Cousins may have saved them from the same fate."

How many brownlow medallists in the prime of their careers have left our club acrimoniously in the last couple of weeks?
Geez. That's a bit harsh. We haven't even had a Brownlow medallist, so it's kind of difficult to project whether they would leave if we even had them.

Can't believe people are accusing WCE of dumping him, after spending the last few years accusing them of protecting him. Seriously, how many "last chances" are they supposed to give him?

Can't also believe WCE would have sacked him before running the contract and circumstances past their lawyers. That's what "soulless corporate entities"/businesses do. On this basis, unlikely there would be much hope with a case, but doesn't mean he won't give it a crack.
