As the season proper is only 5 weeks away I thought I'd start a series of countdown threads, with some 'interesting facts about each club, starting from the bottom of the 2009 ladder ;). This will let a few "idle" minds (yes efh, I'm looking at you) re-direct their talents for good, not evil.

Peel Thunder license was issued in 1996, with the proviso they be ready for the 1997 season, which gave them 8 months (according to their web page) to be ready.

Who was the first sandover medallist? Which year?
How many Sandovers have club players won?
How many colts premierships have they won? Which year/s?
Name the player, whose wife was GM of the club. (Bonus points for this one) :D

Peel supporters, and others, please feel welcome to graffiti the Peel walls in here by daubing the thread with both interesting and useless information. Things like first president, first coach, first captain, longest serving etc.

Let's kick off this season with a bang, (mainly because I'm really bored with the cricket). :thumbsu::)

Well done Swannies but you missed the part where South Freo lost their major recruiting catchment area to Peel;)

And no I'm still not bitter;)

Don't worry, I remembered it because we lost part of our Bunbury region, but, like you, I'm over it and thought better than bringing it up.:p

I am not going to look these up as I want to see if I can get them right. I'm sure I will get them or just be off the mark.

Who was the first sandover medallist? Which year? Ally Pickett 2002
How many Sandovers have club players won? Peel has won 2 so far, bella the other one to pickett
How many colts premierships have they won? Which year/s? 2, 04 and 05
Name the player, whose wife was GM of the club. (Bonus points for this one) :D Would not have a clue but I will take a stab someone who has been there a while maybe Buzan's mrs:confused:?
