We finally come to the most interesting of all the teams, from the black and white colours to the famous picket fence around the oval, there is nothing more interesting..........

Just nodded off to fantasyland and now I'm back. Swans beginning dates around 1927, July 7th to be precise. That was when the Bassendean Road Board wrote to the WANFL asking under what terms and conditions a team from the Bassendean Road Board would be admitted. So they then had to prepare to be admitted, under the guidance of the great RA McDonald, to the WANFL, which happened in 1934.

As the Swans supporters seem to know so much about the other WAFL clubs, ie, are very intelligent, I will have to make some of these questions harder.

1. Mighty Mick Grasso won the Sandover in which year?

2. Which club resisted the new Swan Districts club entering the WANFL the most vehemently? They folded during the first world war and their license to re-enter the WANFL was rejected after the close of the first world war. (I thought that was a good hint :D)

3. Billy Walker played 305 games for the mighty Black and Whites, how many goals did he kick?

4 Who was named CHF in the team of the century?

5. Swans played their first game in the WANFL against which club at Fremantle Oval?

I expect these questions to be answered by the morning, such is the intellect of Swans followers!:D

1) Mick Grasso 1990 36 votes.
2) Not 100 % sure guess North Fremantle.
3) 456 goals
4) Garry Sidebottom.
5) East Fremantle Arpil 28th 1934 SD lost by 17 points.

Well Swannies from a Tigers perspective thats not a bad effort .

Q2 was Midland Junction Football Club.

Why is it that the WAFL Board is made up predominantly of Swans, South and Perth supporters, with input from the occasional Claremont supporter?
Where are supporters of the other clubs, particularly the Cardies and Ol' and Young Easts?
