I'm looking at a romantic country getaway sometime in the next month.
Something that's in a cottage or a cabin.
I don't really know where to start to look.
Anywhere in the state really - suggestions?

Cheers

Somewhere over looking rugged coastline. Nothing better than a cosy fire at night watching a storm blow in over the sea. Wye River or Kennett River is where I'd be looking.

boolara in SE gippsland.

was effected during Black Saturday, but you cannot get more country then boolara.

population of about 1000, 1 milkbar, no servo, an opp shop, the bowls and footy clubs, and the local hotel/motel.

is sort of a thorough fare to sale

Me and my bf have stayed for a couple nights in Queenscliff two times. There are some gorgeous BnBs in that area.

Also another poster said Great Ocean Road. I prefer Apollo Bay myself or that area anyway. :thumbsu:

AND also a friend of mine is staying at a place in Bright soon. Looks amazing, at $150 a night. Can post up the link of that place if you like.

Phillip Island: There is some good B&B's down there as well as the standard hotels, this time of year it's nice and quiet as well.

Wilson's Prom: Don't have to camp, they have some great cabins there now either in Tidal River or down at the Lighthouse. Limited as there is no restaurants or bars down there, but it doesn't get much more secluded.

Somewhere on the ocean road like Port Campbell

or The Grampians - Dunkeld, Halls Gap
