I think that the comeback today took a lot of courage. You can imagine how our boys would be feeling at 3qr time, probably wanted to go home. But they reached down and kept thier ends up and played it out. That takes a lot of courage in my opinion and that courage will be our greatest asset in years to come.

How good is Blackwell going to be in 2-3 years when he has an AFL tough body.
He is courageous as they come, he had a lot of mates stand tough with him today as well.:thumbsu:

How about kade simpson. He got hit hard in the face and was down. When he finally got up, the guys brought him a towel and he wiped his face where there might have been blood and then noticed the ball being bounced and ran to it, leapt over the pack of players and fisted the ball inside 50 for the blues.
Positive signs for the future with the courage of him, blackwell and marc murphy (against the lions) and with walker finally showing his stuff and fisher and waite taking good grabs.

Is it just me or does anybody else think after koutas performance today and last week that he should play next year?

I agree. The boys do show courage, however they are their own worst enemy because they can't put the score on the board.

It's about time our supporters showed some courage as well and support the boys. The crowd today was 17,500. DISGRACEFUL!

That is almost 1500 more than at the same game last year.

Yeah but that same game was at the G in wet conditioins. Today was at the Dome so no excuses!!

And I might add, when Carlton are back up there in the 8, the same game will attract a crowd of 30,000 to 35,000.

Fickle Carlton supporters!

what bloody courage? it was pathetic to be down so much...we were pathetic. disgraceful...we are easily the worst team in the comp...
our bad decisions and skill error is second to none.

Kouta should definitely play, he still has it all he needs a good pre-season and injury free body. The thing with Kouta he at least hits a target and has good decision making so his reduced speed is not as much a worry.

After today should we congratulate their courage?

Should we congratulate guys that need to be down by 8 goal to finally get a spur on and do something? Courage in my opinion would be to dig deep when we were 10 points down and hit the lead, use our bodies and show them we mean business.

We still are the 3 quarter team and we are last on the ladder and if we continue with a 3/4 game we will stay 16th.

don't kid yourselves we were fcuking terrible today. a shi.t pitiful performance.
really difficult to take any positives out of that.

they were so beatable it wasn't funny and we as usual had no idea how to play smart footy.:thumbsd:

The first 3 qtrs was our worse performance this year, we were a joke.

Glad we gave it everything in the last term, but as ppl have said it was junk time and I tend to agree.

your 100% right about the first 3 qrts which is why I think it was so courageous to come back like that. Would have been much easier to take the rest of the day off and lose by 10 goals or 100 points.

Same old ****, different day. We always give Freo a 50 point start, and they always give us back just enough to not lose.
