Can anyone tell me wether Johns is a chance to play next year. I know he has had major hip problems throughout the last couple of years. Ive never actually seen him play a game but have heard great things from a mate who reckons he reminds him of a young Dermie. Will the Bombers keep him on next year?? Please I d like to me.

well after his last op he was originally told that he couldn't run for a year, but the specialist recently revised that back to April/May. I get the feeling that he'll definately be kept on but as for him playing... well it's still unlikely his hip will stand up to AFL, it would be a bonus. Still if it doesn't happen it won't be for a lack of dedication by Courtney and the club.

Devastating injury, at least the club has stuck with him. his determination to not give in, no matter what the docs said is quite amazing

Saw this guys first game for Bendigo which was against the bullants, and his first for many months. One thing that stood out was his strong marking. The bombers certainly have a player here if he can get onto the field

If he can't run until May then next season would be close to a write off, at least in the seniors. Very unfortunate.

I played Junior Cricket with him and he was abloody good batsman, haha

Havent ever seen him play footy.

I really hope he can get going... but my OPINION is that he is about a 30% chance of ever being an AFL player.

I think it's over. Saw him play a few quarters last year. He seemed to go ok. But he has a glass hip and is running laps around Windy Hill with a zimmer frame. Not confident at all.
