Yeah but wasn't Dermie at Collingwood at the time ???

It's an article that will come back to haunt us if he doesn't perform but he was a rookie, we tok the punt on him, and we DIDN'T need a top pick to get him

and the article is more about where he has come back from ...more than what he is going to be ....

I think it's great. Mostly for Johns himself. As he says, having 14 clubs drop him and then Essendon decide to roll the dice.... this is one of the things really motivating him.

For him to see that article and know that 14 other recruiting managers will read it, that will give him something to smile about.

Shows his head is screwed on the right way he's got a point to prove and he'll work his arse off to do so. Expect him to be in the side early on (Sheeds loves him and wants to show want every1 else missed out on) but he's not the answer yet and his hip could flair up again and he'll never play again. **** happens.
