I agree YAK it's in the West Front page he's as good as Gorrrrn.
Only he will know whether the association was worth it.

I guess the old adage applies 'If you lay down with dogs you'll get up with fleas'.

wondering if anyone could explain the situation to me. only just heard about it. So were they just there and happened to see something? Or were they there and they know these dudes (some gang are they?), and do you reckon they were involved in anything.? Everyone has just said it looks bad, but I wouldn't have thought your captain would do anything dodgy like that, considering how well West Coast is going... spose you never know

So when the West criticises the Dockers it's all anti Docker bull******** and when they have a witch hunt aginst a couple of Eagles it's gospel and we should do whatever they tell us. Can you imagine the bleating if the Dockers were told to ditch their captain by the West.
On the up side it puts paid to the myth pedalled by some moronic Docker supporters that the West is anti Docker and pro Eagles and go out of their way to cover up any Eagle misdeeds. These blokes are being crucified for doing FA.

Seems that a couple of basic democratic rights in this country are being ignored by the press and police

1. Innocent until proven guilty (havent even been charged with anything)

2. The right to remain silent

Until there is something more concrete than innuendo and hearsay i will reserve my judgement

A pox on the both of them for bringing all of this garbage onto my beloved club, and for giving me this awful sense of disillusionment.

To be Captain of the W.C.E. is an honour, and should be treated as such. Whether you like it or not, it`s all about perceptions, and Ben is currently being percieved as some sort of sleazy underworld figure. It`s time, right now, for him to make a decision on which he values more highly, his club (and that means us as well people) or his apparent ongoing friendship with the oh so noble John Kizon and his various hangers on.

Hope he`s able to make the right one.

Let`s all hope that all of this doesn`t de-rail our season.

I agree, this incident makes me feel very dirty. The fact that they have continued to assoicate with Kizon after being told not to is even worse and the fact that they are captain and vice captain of the club makes it terrible. I feel disappointed and I know some people will say "just worry about what happens on field" but I do feel let down. I dare say I am losing faith with Cuz as captain and I hope like hell it doesnt effect the team on field.

I wish people would leave this alone, I know both have some marks on their record but as far as I understand it, this is not a big deal.

there was an article in the age today about Gardiner making a gesture to a friend in Jail in the wizard cup final. So What?! he has a friend in Jail, many people do!!! If you have a friend and then he goes and does something illegal some might forget about them, but others would forgive them and stay loyal to them, what's wrong with that!

As far as I understand the situation, the only thing that has happened is that these two know someone who is a criminal, and they refused to speak about it to the police, they were not at or involved in any gang land wars or any thing like that. They refused to speak to police, as is their right.

If I am wrong correct me but from what I understand it it is not a serious matter at all. If it happened to someone not famous it would be no big thing at all. Storm in a teacup, I say.

Ben Kizons is innocent, I tell ye

Ben Kizons is innocent, I tell ye

Ben Kizons is innocent, I tell ye

Ben Kizons is innocent, I tell ye

Ben Kizons is innocent, I tell ye

Ben Kizons is innocent, I tell ye

Ben Kizons is innocent, I tell ye

Ben Kizons is innocent, I tell ye

By the way, I was sitting in the same Subiaco Cafe with the loving Kizon's.

I reckon F-U is dead serious and if I was a betting person I'd say that Cousins would be odds on to be replaced as Captain.

Yes, just like you said Chris Waterman would get sacked at the end of last year?

Some of you people are truly pathetic. They haven't done anything illegal that we're aware of and can associate with whoever they want.

I don't think you quite get it:

1. I believe both players have been involved with coke
2. That's their business until it becomes proven publicly
3. Hearsay and innuendo is not enough to relieve these players of their positions at the club.

ps I have no issue with these players using such drugs in the off season. I have no issue with these players exercising their right to remain silent. Actually, I'd be bothered if either player spilled the beans. The only thing that really bothers me is these two private school rich boys are hanging out with thuggish mobsters. It's reasonably clear Gardy just wants the big man macho gangster image.

But like Jako, I don't care if he's a tool off the field. As long as they're committed to the club, their teammates, and their footy, I'm happy. Whilst undesriable, this is hardly bringing the club into disrepute.

They both looked like they were ********tin themselves when making their statements to the press.

The way i see it, both guys were nowhere near the place where the incident occured, so they have no involvement in that, they both allegedly spoke to some crim before and the day after the incident took place, even if they both had convos they still havent done anything wrong.

theres somthing that really scares me.... it may be an over reaction BUT its something I do think about...

IF these people ARE "Underworld" figures as we believe, do you think that they would let Micheal and Ben walk away????????
