I was talking with a friend at Uni today, and he mentioned something that didn't even occur to me. He reckons Cousins peaked last year. Naturally i argued he's only 23 and he'll still improve, but he said that Cousins 2001 season was so good it is unlikely he will improve much, if at all.
Anyone agree? Could cousins have played at such a high standard that it is impossible to play better? I know he didn't win the brownlow, nor is considered to be in the class of Voss, McLoed or Hird. But take into consideration he played that well in a hopeless team which won only 5 games. If he had put in that season with a top 8 team he would have won the Brownlow by a record margin.
Could it be, Cousins has peaked?
