Multiplat Crimson Desert

Even though I've moved the story on (I think I'm chapter 8?) I'm still only around north of Hernand and Pailune and the environment is largely the same. Now so many of the reels I'm seeing are in tropical areas, desert areas and steam punk areas. There is so much yet to see in this game.

I tried to resist clicking on so many videos that gave away secrets but I caved on some because no way I'm smart enough to discover then myself. I saw in one bandit camp that if you force palm what looks to be some sort of grave stone (??) when it's raining it opens up an underground tomb with a really neat ring. Then if you're not lucky with the rain there is a necklace from somewhere where you can make it rain.

I feel like stuff is going to be discovered for quite a while as there is lots cleverly hidden. It has lots of layers like onions and ogres.

Playing on a base PS5

The big battles have horrendous frame rates like what the hell it was so choppy they need to fix that with patches because my brother had the same issues

On my series x playing on quality mode, 30 FPS. It drops from time to time but haven't experienced any choppy frame rate that makes the game unbearable.

I was starting to struggle a bit in terms of feeling weak so started looking for some things I might have missed. During that I found out about upgrading the Kuku pot which I'm sure the game told me but I must have missed. Then I learnt I could have been getting some unique parts for the Kuku pot from the Sanctums which I never even knew about.

It turns out there was heaps I missed so even after 100 hours I'm going back to do some stuff I've missed and learning heaps about the game that completely went over my head.

Here is some good tips regardless of how many hours you've played as Cowboy even said he didn't learn about the Kuku pot upgrades from the Sanctums until after 100 hours himself.

Something else I missed: at the end of Abyss sections and you pass through the sky gate a pedestal will appear. The game probably said something at the start but again my brain probably went to mush after learning the puzzle controls but I was just trying to fly to the next section. If it was out of reach I assumed there would be another way later. Turns out you're meant to use the axiom thing on the dial at the top of the pedestal and turn it 😒. So spent hours tonight just in the abyss stockpiling skill points.

Also a tip for anyone still earlier than chapter 7, don't spend your skill points just because you have them. Only take the skills you intend to use and upgrade your base stats by 6 or 7. Then hold onto your points and just use them on skills if you need them for puzzles. The reason being at some points you're going to be forced to use Damiane and Oongka and it will be really rough if you don't have any points to invest. You can always respect and put Kliff's points into them then respec after but if you don't want to then just save your points. They'll automatically have some skills unlocked depending on what Kliff has learnt and any increase to stamp/health/spirit on Kliff will carry over. It's also worth periodically switching over to them just to tend to their gear a bit.

Been a bit of noise from people wanting the other characters to have all the same points already used on Kliff. I don't have any interest in playing as the other two so hoping by the time I am forced to the difficulty settings come out and I can cheese through them.

I've read the same stuff and think that would be good too. For me when I was made to switch I had a look at the skills and saw lots were unlocked already and the stam, health and spirit upgrades carries over so I was just able to brute force my way through a boss fight with lots of food and a palmer pill. So I think if you've spent lots of time with the game previously then it's not so bad, but those who have maybe stuck to the main quest line a bit more will struggle without being able to use their points they spent on Kliff.

I've since put a few into Oongka and don't need to put anything into Kliff for the time being so I'll just keep a buffer of 10-15 points for if I need to use them on the other characters. Once I finish the main story (not anytime soon at this rate!) I'll just respec and get those points back to spend on Kliff if I still haven't maxed everything out or need to upgrade some gear.

I might have to watch this. Been at it most of the day and just feel like I'm floating around not really getting anywhere or getting into things I shouldn't be/am not properly equipped to deal with yet.

At least i finally got my floppy eared bulldog that was not spawning consistently so I could pat it. Really feel like I need some better weapons and armour.

Seriously though, the map for this game is INSANE. I have been playing absolutely flat out and there's so much I haven't seen. But also so much I have seen - rainforest, desert, snowy mountains, caves; and it's all absolutely packed with hidden secrets. It gives you the genuine feeling of going somewhere so far away on the map, where things are so different, it actually feels like you've travelled to a different country. When I arrived at [redacted location north east] I couldn't believe how different it felt, like being in Arabia.

So ****ing cool

Was thinking the same yesterday. I saw online a way to glitch tame horses immediately, so I hightailed it across to the East side of the map to get the last Legendary horse. On my way, I was thinking of just how much I still have to see. A lot was hidden away which I never had view of even from the high points in Hernand.

(The glitch didn't bloody work either, so spent a good 20 odd minutes trying to tame that last bastard!)

I totally forgot about that Kuku pot thing too, until I read up on it here.
I am still very confused on how it works; I need some youtube time.. this game just has so much to it.

Currently on chapter 7, just slowly going through it, doing mostly side missions and camp stuff.

I need some better rings gear soon, random bossses still kicking my ass

Seems like the best piece of advice is to push through the main story until you get the camp up and running fully (chapter 4 iirc). I'm on 3 atm so I think I'll focus on that next session.

Definitely this. Even to 5 doesn't hurt so you can fully expand your camp, unlock the witches and exploring will be a bit more rewarding as you'll be able to do sanctums and faction quests will pop up that will populate places you explore with baddies and bosses and stuff.

I just built the farm.

Seeing you camp progress and expand is one of my favorite things to do in the game. Also like sending comrades on dispatch missions to get camp resources.

There's definitely times where some hand holding would be nice. Been waiting for my animals to grow so I can slaughter one of the bastards. Turns out you need to feed them!

Same deal with the crops, wouldn't have had any idea if I didn't see a video on it first.

I think the animals are bugged. There is a feeder and if you put food in it will consumed while you're away but no animal will level up. If you stand in the pen for long enough though animals will randomly come to it, eat and level up. However it's easier to just drop food in front of them.

Also I can't get my pigs or cow calf to level up. The pigs will eat but don't seem to grow and my calf never eats anything so won't grow and therefore no milk. I got my chickens to grow and now I have a couple roosters and a few hens and every time I come back I swear there are even more chickens than before (looks like my farm is going to be a Red Rooster).
