SEN reporting DB told services no longer required.

Interesting. SEN aren't the most reliable tomato sauce of information though. Tonight and tomorrow could be VERY interesting stuff indeed.

Even if the board come to the decision that Bailey is gone, they won't let the media know before they can meet with Dean and tell him personally.

Therefore, I wouldn't expect much news tonight.

They were talking mostly possible replacements. Saying 1st year coach is probable, left-field option of going for Ratten.

MMM were talking about Greg Healy I think it was putting his hand up for Footy Director.

I'm surprised at the lack of love for Brenton Sanderson too. Mark Thompson pretty much crowned him his successor before doing the dirty on the Cats.

Schwab has a great reputation as a CEO, in terms of the actual job requirements.

Unfortunately he also has a reputation for meddling in the football department and really micro-managing players and areas.

Ask Freo fans.

Brenton Sanderson should be the first guy MFC interviews.

Apparently SEN have reported Bailey has been sacked. It's is also meant to have been stated by some journalists via twitter. Can anyone confirm this?

Mark Robertson retweeted the SEN report then followed with not confirmed.

They haven't followed up so I'd say it's wrong.

Whateley is reliable.

I actually liked Dean and have a sense of disappointment, but the right decision was made. 100%.

That's what senior coaches do mate. Malthouse is pumping up Neeld. Hird is pumping up McCartney. Scott is pumping up Sanderson. I think Worsfold is pumping up Burns and so it goes.

If Bailey goes I'd be going after the best available coach or potentially available one even if they are long shots. Roos and Malthouse would be first cabs off the rank for mine.

I really hope you guys get things back on track sooner rather than later as no genuine footy supporter likes to see a club in the turmoil you're in. Especially one that has Jimmeh as it's head.

Was hoping they would let him finish the year, especially considering the up and down nature of your season.
What's the point?

Players would have known he was going at the end of the year, might as well do it now.

What is up and down about rolling the poor teams and being smashed by the good teams? He had to go after the Geelong game, no question about that.

Trust us, the up and down nature will continue regardless.

For me it sends the message that the season is over.
