But how do you propose the afl undo the suspensions for Graham, Jiath, Finlayson etc if they go lenient on Rankine?

I just want to understand the logic from the AFL in barely doing anything to Willie Rioli.

It was like they were afraid he was struggling mentally and therefore can do what he wants.

Seems like the dumbest thing to do in 2025. In no workplace would you survive this sort of comment being repeated to a colleague.

Should be upwards of 6 weeks, on the back of the other suspension that have been handed out this year.

Will the AFL have the stones to do it, or will they open themselves up for criticism when they give him some wriggle room because of finals?

There are plenty of things on the AFL field allowed that arent in a normal workplace. It's a stupid comparison.. Eg. calling another player fat.

I'd personally give him 5 weeks, rule him out for the year, it's a big punishment. However if it's 4, wouldn't the Crows be better losing the qualifying and they potentially get Rankine for a GF

they would be stupid to throw a home final and direct path to the PF for the sake of one player maybe playing in the GF, and that's if they're able to win in both weeks 2 and 3.

Before this, my GF tip was Lions v Crows, best 2 in it.

I wouldn't tip them to beat Brisbane in the GF with or without him.
