I don't feel sorry for Rankine and, if the other player isn't gay, I doubt he was bothered but any gay player or umpire who heard it would rightly be offended and upset. That's who I feel sorry for and why I believe in zero tolerance. AFLW embrace their gay members but it's so stupidly taboo in the men's competition.

By all means, they should be called out on it and put into some sort of re-education but don’t think suspending is the answer. Especially in a time when you can punch someone in the back / gut but not get suspended because it didn’t warrant enough force.

He didn't say it multiple times. It's not Quaynor or Moore involved. I'm amazed at how much traction Twitter trolls have got on those parts of the story. People do realise where the Quaynor stuff originated, correct? It's a very well known troll and attention seeker on Twitter that pretends to be ITK.
