Crowd at the G

It was fantastic to see a huge Lions rollout at the G on Saturday Night - that would be the first time I can recall a game v Pies where we clearly 'out supported' them. So many RoyBoy scarfs and beanies dug out to cheer on Lynchy - a magic night ( once feeling returns to my extremities ). And isn't that new stand humungous - what a place the G's going to be next year.

lots of Fitzroy people there on the night and I also thought Lions out numbered Pies on the night. Great to see. Fantastic to hear the huge chants of Lynchy, Pikey & Lions around the ground. Huge! And very sentimental to hear a large proportion singing the Fitzroy theme song in the stand I was in at the very end. Go Roy Boys!!!!

Hope we can all follow up for the last H& Away game down here against the Hawks. Would be great to outnumber them, although on yesterdays game that may be no great feat.

Would like to think it will be virtually a Lions 'home' game.

AFL Heritage Round

Hello to all Fitzroy and Brisbane Supporters.
The AFL will be holding the 'Heritage Round' in 2 weeks time, and the Fitzroy Reds will be jumping on board to celebrate the Fitzroy histroy as well. Last year we played at the MCG, but with the Lions in Sydney this year, the Reds will be turning back the clock by wearing a one-off jumper, similar to that of the Lions last year, in their game at Brunswick Street Oval. We are asking all Fitzroy / Brisbane supporters to come on down and experience some great local footy, at a true 'heritage venue'.
