That rendition of Hearts to Hearts walking back across the bridge after the game was the best I can remember for years. Spotted a grouchy mum dragging her 10 year old daughter through the crowd who said "arrgh their song is so ******ed!" Nothing more pleasing than bearing witness to sour grapes.

Yes!!! I was there and singing my arse off. And completely agree, up there as best rendition(s) I've been involved in.

I heard one Essendon peanut, perturbed by the vigour with which we were singing, come out with something like "these guys are on ice, I thought Ben Cousins played for Richmond."

I'm not sure exactly what he was trying to say, but I guess when you've just been f***** that hard it's tough to put a sentence together.

Some other muppet from the scum brains-trust was walking in the other direction outside the ground saying "financially strong Kangaroos" to people. They're a great bunch.

Lowlight for me was having a bunch of teenage morons behind me:

Yelling 'get up, weak dog' when Hansen went down;
Yelling out the magic 'C' word upon a shot for goal which went through;
Suggesting that Petrie's wife and sister be sexually assaulted.

I was only too happy to show these blokes the exit when the lead stretched to 24 points. Didn't have a response of course..

 

[Event Horizon]

We were on level 1 Aisle 20, right next to the players race. My son got to high five the boys after the game - I don't think he'll forget that in a hurry.

Our home game sits are pretty close to the race as well, but on the other side of it (Aisle 21) and whilst you are close to the players as they're walking off, you can't get too close because of the Foxtel camera. Last night was an awesome experience for my son for that reason.
