Hey guys. I wasn't at the game on Sunday so i just wanted to know what the crowd was like. I'm thinking it was 70/30 in Geelongs favour. Kangas fans (what little they have) don't show up in huge numbers.

yeah it was around that but when roos were on a roll in the first q they were loud. was a fantastic atmosphere tho. you guys should get around some crowd i reckon

Yes - I'd say 70/30 would be about right - huge crowd still there at the end roaring approval. MCC stand choccas with Geelong supporters - and much more vocal than usual!

With about 5 minutes to go, the whole crowd went up as one for the "Geelong, clap clap clap" chant! I thought that was awesome!!

Definately more Cats fans there as expected. Yes the Roos fans did find some decent voice in the first quarter that actually surprized me a little however the cats fans are the loudest they've been since i've been going to the footy. lots are turning up to our melbourne games as well which is great

I went to both games. Disappointed with your crowd, expected it to be around 45 000. The atmosphere at your game with half as many people was much greater. But 100 point beltings aren't known for producing the level of tension you get in a three point game.

yeh about 70/30 i reckon. there was 77,000 there and the atmosphere was awesome. all the cats fans where out on there feet.

and the bassist from jet was sitting in front of me. hes a cats fan and was going nuts with everyone else too.

Yeah, he definitely went. I saw him in Lt Bourke St a couple of hours before the game wearing a cats scarf.

Heard that on the replay. Sounded awesome. :thumbsu:

Did they do the chant at 3/4 time too, like at the Power game? Probably didn't need to as we were cruising, but that would've sounded awesome as well.

I was in MCC so bloody hard to tell. I swear there was myself and the two people I was with cheering in our area and thats it.

Went out for a smoke at 3 quarter time and all I could see was North supporters fleeing!

hahahah how funny!

i was surrounded by geelong supporters in mcc

From the Ponsford Stand the roar from the MCC Members as Geelong players came on and off the bench in the second half was thunderous - great to hear and annoying to the Kangaroos supporters near us.

For me there were two moments that sent shivers down my spine;
1/ the roar of the crowd at the end of the National Anthem and
2/ when we were 99pts up and the crowd started chanting Gee ee lll ong,clap.. clap..clap.
It was like walking on air,had not felt that feeling since the halcion days of of Gary Snr.

Well there wasn't many people cheering on the balcony. Awsome view, but lacks atmosphere.
