I think it's a great day of value ahead!

1 - Am going with a roughie here in Jumaana, has drawn the outside and nothing right in the market takes my fancy. Have followed this one here in Adelaide and it is a handy type. Went to QLD for the carnival and performed well enough.

Hoping to see Xaaranthe run a cheeky race in the first after a freshen up. $8 a place is nice.

2 - Huypircart - I'm one of the few not on Bon Hoffa. On it's home track, O'Brien the trainer, solid form around Dr Nipandtuck. I'd rather take the value.

3 - Not really a race I'm that keen on but I will go with Empress Jade. Bart usually gets a winner at the carnival somewhere and there is a class drop for her. I wouldn't have Maha Chakri as favourite.

4 - I'm on Satin Robes. I like this horse. Is always charging home in it's races and I reckon there will be good pace on in this. Will be having a little for the win but more for the place.

5 - I'll be on 2 stablemates for the win in this. Toydarriate and Theresnothinglycra for Gwenda Johnstone. Toydarriate escaped at the barriers on this day last year and did a lap or two before being scratched. Theresnothinglycra has Mcevoy aboard and I love the trainer/jockey combination here, theyv'e had success before.

6 - I'll be on Anamato. I've been following this horse and I know Hayes has massive wraps on it. Will be betting more for the place though. Went to the lead in the Wakeful and just didn't have anything left in the end to go with Tuesday Joy. May be some distance doubt but I'm not jumping off.

7 - Manna Miss looks too good in this even though she is taking on mainly males.

8 & 9 - Am still studying these races. Will post tips later today.

Heavy fall in the first. I think both horses are ok, but Mcevoy must be doubtful for the rest of the day. There goes my Johnstone/Mcevoy trainer combo! Oh well, I'll stick with the horses still.

8 - Gunner Tom, this horse has been very good to me and I don't feel it's that strong a race. Is ready to go first up and the jockey is very underrated and has a history of going to Adelaide or Melbourne and getting up on horses at long odds.

9 - Pinerate - Unbeaten at the track, and this is not a city class race. Great value.

How good was her run? She was close to the front in a fast run race all the way, and looked like she was gone at the 200m and 100m but kept finding.

I was on Miss Finland all week... then got talked out of it by a bookie friend and put my money on Tuesdays Joy. Then bookie friend calls me this morning and says to jump on Miss Finland. Too late.

Yeah, you would think so. Anamato was worth about $14 on the win too so youd have expected more than that surely. Oh wells.
