Crows should draft Lote Tuqiri

If there was any opportunity of convincing Tuqiri to play AFL, the Crows should seriously consider it!

I mean, the guy is 191 cm, built like an absolute tank, has a great turn of pace and awesome evasive skills. He is able to break tackles in a game where the players are bigger and stronger, he could be an awesome pack-buster in AFL and in a forward line full of spindles, he is the bulky kind of guy we need. As that awesome falling back mark in the semi showed, he has good hands, and his recovery from that take was sensational.

It's only a pipe dream of course, but don't you agree he could be a revelation if he played AFL?

He would be awesome but you better chuck half your players eoff your list as his asking price his reportedly $750,000 a year!

What about Matt Dunning at full forward like Tony Lockett!

Of the other players, Sailor has the brute strength but maybe not the agility.

Mortlock might also be worth a try, like Tuqiri he seems to break tackles easily and he has good pace, plus he is tall.

Looking at the most important factor - hand and foot skills - Mat Rogers would be a sensational midfielder and Stephen Larkham would be a machine just about anywhere.

Matty's got a good drop punt, but let's not pass him the ball under any sort of pressure, particularly with the goals in sight....he's dropped quite a few this World Cup with the try line approaching.

I wouldn't mind some of those big guys in the Wallabies side, Harrison, Sharpe, Giffen.....huge blokes with good hands. Probably can't kick though but having said that, neither can either of our ruckmen anyway.

You gotta wonder how much potential AFL superstar talent like Tuqiri is lost because of the rugby league fixation in the northern states?

You can argue that question with any chosen athlete depending on which sport is your favourite
