Season is on the line for both clubs this week I reckon. Should be a beauty, wont be any more than 15 points in it either way.

Blues to get up in front of a packed house at AAMI by 12 pts, Fev to get 5, and dare I say it, Gibbs to be BOG.

Go Blues.

I think it will be close but you guys have the experience and bigger bodies hurts me to say this but the Crows by 10.

what - why do you think its going to be close ?

whoever wins is going to do it by 25 points+ UNLESS Carlton kick a late one to seal it by a couple of points.

Just have a feeling it will be a close game. You guys have plenty to play for and so do we. But like I said you have the experience, bigger bodies and we have tended to struggle against teams with quality talls this season.

They dont have quality talls, esp in the front half. Not having Burton will hurt the Crows, he killed us last time.

fair enough - personally I think its going to be a non-event type game with the winner getting over the line comfortably.

games like this never live up to the percieved hype.

Didn't know Burton was injured or is he suspended? Well that would make a slight difference. But still we are very young and we still tend to make lots of skill errors. Will be close anyway I hope it will be a good close game.

A big chance for all those that live in Adelaide that support Adelaide to get to AAMI in numbers and barrack hard!! Would love to be there for it! We have to win, not only to win, but my Carlton supporting mates will rib me forever if we keep their slim finals chances alive!

GO CROWS! :thumbsu:

didn't we hear all this prior to our earlier meeting in the year

Carlton has the better forward line, better midfield yadda yadda yadda

what was the result, a 30 pt win to the crows at the MCG

Given that the crows are a 5 goal better side at home than away, Carlton will need a ten goal better performance than earlier in the year

Fev factor, I am not worried

Truck was back to his fantastic best against Hall last week

Bock gave Fev a touch up at the MCG

The big questions is

1. can Carlton play with the same intensity 2 weeks in a row and in fromt of a passionate away crowd

you can also be assured, the crows will be a lot more accountable for their direct opponents than the Bullies were

didn't know Burton was injured

he is only out for the next 12 months

don't you victorians follow football news outside of your borders

I have noticed Carlton play pretty good footy at the TD when conditions are perfect

However, this weeks conditions will be far from Perfect and Carlton will be exposed to greater accountability from Crows players

Reducing turn overs will be the key to Carlton's chances

Can the blues manage expectations and plant their feet back on the ground

Ease up Tigers. Let's get back to talking phooty.

Big game for both sides. I agree with Cappy that one side will probably win comfortably. More the nature of how Adelaide have played of late than anything else. We have been woeful or very disciplined and effective (except up forward as well documented).

No Burton will make life tough for us, very tough. But I think the confidence the younger players got out of last week will see us kick on for a 4 goal win.

I reckon Adelaide for the win...
but perhaps a margin of 6 to 8 pts.
