Tex just isn't a "dominant forward" anymore. Our forward line is too versatile. You'd say that Walker and Jenkins were "down" yesterday yet still contributed to a lot of our scores. I'm not concerned about Tex.
Completely agree. He doesn't need to play the role of the sole target up forward.
I often keep an eye out for him, and see that he has recently been pushing up the ground, presenting a marking option in the middle of the ground/HF area, where he won't kick goals, but takes those contested grabs that allows us to push inside 50. Invaluable grabs those.
And he can do that, because he has 5 other players in the team that can consistently kick goals. He is playing a smart role, and doing it well. I don't see an issue.
