Come on girls, let's dust ourselves off and try again
it was disappointing in front of a record crowd at Henson Park

As Scott said in our presser
We lost our shape

Sofia will not be back this week - another week or two.

She is because last week I thought was maybe her best game in terms of marking. I actually thought she was down on form prior to that. I dont mind getting a look at Giselle perhaps with Lexie. They're more mobile in my opinion. Maybe its Cailtin rather than Giselle

Ruby Sargeant- Wilson late injury out. Holly went back into the team earlier today for that late out.
Confirmed changes this afternoon.
In
Caitlin Reid, Sarah Steele-Park, Rebecca Privitelli
Out
Ally Morphett (Injured), Ash Van Loon (Omitted), Ruby Sargent-Wilson (Injured)

It's interesting, Giselle Davies and Kiara Hillier seem to have disappeared into purgatory. I'm particularly surprised in relation to Giselle because she was good last year. Someone suggested that they are partners a little while back, I wonder if their being out of favour together is completely coincidental or not. I really don't know.

I'm slightly surprised at Cooper being dropped. I think she and Hausegger and Grunden have all progressed this year. I've actually been really impressed by much of what I have seen from Holly this season and I think she'll be a player for a good while to come. This omission doesn't need to change that. Just a sharp reminder about doing what the coaches tell her to.

Morphett is a big loss, no question, especially for her marking around the ground. Priv needs to find her from and step up to help in this regard.

With a defender dropping out and not being replaced by another defender, I wonder if we'll see McEvoy spending more time in defence? I think that would be a good move.

I like the inclusion of Steele-Park. I think her seasoned body and maturity will be valuable, and I think she'll try her guts out on debut.

Interesting that Cooper's omission didn't open the door for Brown. During pre-season, she was the player who least impressed me. Just seemed a bit lackadaisical in her approach (I particularly remember thinking this one day I rocked up in early pre-season and saw them training on the indoor field at Swans HQ) which is hard to account for. The thing is the club should have known all about her work ethic and character after she was an Academy graduate, so maybe it was just an anomaly.

I'm really hoping we can upset Adelaide. Their form has been shaky and I think we can be optimistic if (a) we bring our best (which I am hopeful we will - there'll be no complacency after two chastening losses); and (b) we adapt our game plan to counter what other teams have been doing against us since we were 'figured out'.

Shake down the thunder, girls!!

Can someone get on the player with the braids! She keeps waltzing out of the centre.

Tackling in our forward line has stepped up the last 10 and it shows in our scoring opportunities. Moy should have had a kick earlier when taken around the neck in the ruck.
Tackling has been great and we've kept it in our forward line the last 10 minutes.
