Im really looking forward to today's game

Yes we have gone in a little too short down back however im really keen to see how so many things play out today, like

- a forwardnline without Tex
- Fog and RT roles up forward without Tex
- Jones across HB
- ROC's debut
- Our young midfield stepping up
- ROB against Nat

I dont expect a win but so much to observe within the game

I'm going to my best mate's place to watch the annihilation, dreading the final score.

However, looking forward to:
--- seeing what RoC can do at this level (talk about a Baptism of Fire!)
--- watching Jones do some good off half-back.

Hoping for:
--- sustained effort
--- improvement from McAdam and Frampton in particular
--- anything less than a 12-goal loss :grimacing: .

If we don't kick our lowest ever score today I'll see it as a win.

If they don't kick their biggest ever score today I'll see that as a win.

If we don't get any injuries then that makes 3 wins.

The rest is irrelevant because once again we fail to pick a 2nd KPD

How do you arrive at the decision to play 4 tall forwards one week but then 2 the next. Great that we're getting more games into Mackay though. He was terrible last week, just has no positive impact on our performance at all. I'm happy that we've gone with a decent structure ahead of the ball though.

edit - just realised Billy is playing. Still, it's a better structure.

McAsey and Butts should be the 1-2 in defence for our next run at it.

I'd love to see Frampton / Himmelberg pushed back to play that second defensive tall while we wait for McAsey.

Let's see what we go with once it starts to get ugly - you know around the start of the 2nd quarter

Dislike. Three more wins puts us out of Horne territory.

In 2017 when we were extremely competitive, I’d be fearful of a trip to the west against this side. This is going to be brutal and is likely to be over by quarter time.

but I will say I am enjoying players like Berry and Hamill, who are our future, in action.

Tex does some very useful arranging and marshalling of troops in the F50 --- his leadership will be missed.

That, and his frequent goal assists for which he ranks equal ninth in the Comp:

It'll also be interesting to see if Nicks persists with the hack-it-forward/ bomb-it-in-blindly approach of the last few weeks.
Oddly, there's method in that madness.

It was only last week that I realised it's a scoreboard minimisation tactic --- if we are dispossessed on the arc or just I50, opposition scoring from those turnovers will really hurt. However, if the ball is kicked deep, the Crows:
--- might just take a contested mark (hasn't been happening), or
--- might just crumb a goal from the spill to ground (also hasn't been happening), or
--- it will use up time for the oppo to move the ball that extra 30-40 metres out of the Crows' F50, which means they should score less.

I will be headed to the giant pub adjacent to the stadium today, and I suspect that will be today’s highlight.

actually looking forward to watching the lads live and providing some support.

I noticed Richmond only had 18,000 odd last night. They are classic bandwagoners.

Ive been to Subiaco and seen us on the end of some awful beatings in the past including when Scotty Cummings ran rampant. I do hope that it’s not as painful as that was.

By the way I did enjoy last night‘s game 😜

Derwayne commentating no doubt?

Yellow guernsey that clashes with West Coast more than our normal guernsey, plus umpires also in yellow?

Crowkemon used confuse

it was mildly effective

Probably the most interesting thing today will be, when will we first score?
A: 2nd qtr
B: 3rd qtr
C: not at all
Nah... i reacon this will be one of those games where we catch WC napping and get the first two goals of the game..

....... Then dont score again until well into the third quarter when the games already done and dusted.

Newchurch and Cook both in Perth, club is using the bye to give them some travelling experience.
Someone mentioned Pedlar over there as well
Nicks did mention in his presser that a few would be given travel experience

Byo crowd 😜. Being serious I do hope we get a few numbers there to support the lads.

At one stage the club would have a soirée after the game for WA based Crows members, who unless they travel from WA to watch the guys live, get 1-2 games here max. It isn’t great value for money and something like that would be appreciated.

Nickys has openly spoken about the long bombs in some of the after game interviews. By what i can gather he doesnt like them, its not what he wants, and hes been telling the boys that. The lads need to break these bad habits... The long bombs forwards are sole crushing for everyone...
