But is this the end of cryptos? is bitcoin going to keep plummeting ? :'(

No way it will be the end... The blockchain technology will be absorbed by the mainstream at some point.

The benefits of a lot of coins can't be completely ignored. The socially engineered will wake up you would think.

Now, I don't have a lot to spend as I thought Ether and BCH were hard to pass up at the recent dip, but have a little bit spare. Holding, but looking at more

Anything new that's worth considering that I may not have researched yet?

no chance. For an indication on the direction cryptocurrency is heading, id suggest watching Crypto Larks channel on youtube. Big strides are being made this year that will see mainstream adoption happen in the near future.

Is there not already mainstream adoption? Explain this

ok, exchange discussion. given I'm only using the two Aussies currently, which other exchanges out there are good with fiat conversions, sending in from a hardware wallet to the exchange and withdrawing to bank?

currently, my biggest holding right now is digibyte, however it's all stored on a hardware wallet. while I can send to the wallet from coin spot, currently coin spot does not have the option to send it back in. which currently is a good thing, to help me hodl. but when the time is right, I currently have nowhere to send it for a fiat conversion

Blockchain technology and crytocurrency are two independent things. Blockchain can be used for a bunch of different things. It's not an exclusive crypto tech.

Blockchain can be absorbed by mainstream and crypto could be still become worthless. The ASX want to start using it, but that won't have any involvement with crypto.

Not the best answer to give on why crypto can't go down much further.

Yes, but that's like saying pr0n and the internet are two separate things. pr0n is built upon the internet like crypto is built upon the blockchain. pr0n will never "fail" or become worthless because there is ALWAYS consumer demand for it, it can only be forced underground. Likewise for cryptocurrency, it can never fail because the demand for decentralised currency will always be there, it can only be forced underground. The government can try to regulate it and control it, but they can never make the demand dissappear.

How will a starving child in Africa use it?

The people looking after the child will use it to buy what they need and educate the kids along the way, from water and food to clothing and medicine

But seriously, that’s your response?

Not the best response to give considering at no point did I state Crypto can't go down much further. If I wanted to spend an eternity in giving my views with greater depth, I would have. What have you added to the conversation? Jack Sh1t.

Try again...

Secondly, you'll find that in a previous post, I stated that I actually believed it would go down and it could get ugly. It did get ugly.

old m8's too busy thinking of the starving children in Africa and forgetting about the one's in his own country so a worthy response to the subject will not be seen

PChain - Solid team, 50,000 ETH hardcap, token metrics not finalised yet

Neon Exchange (NEX) - gonna be huge

Anyone have an answer for this?

Google it? Do your own research? Ect?

Waltonchain released a nice launch day video.

Looks like I've got the official wallet set up, I'm "mining" now, but I'm not running any serious gear.

Trying to work out if we're supposed to transfer our WTC into the wallet in order to begin staking?

Link to video etc? I haven’t done any of it yet

Download wallet here: https://github.com/WaltonChain/WaltonWallet_Win_x64/blob/master/WTCSetup1.17.exe

Video:

Don't send any WTC to the wallet - it's WTCT (Ethereum based) so they'll be lost. You can start mining, I suggest not going full speed at first, as I seem to get disconnected on my computer. Some people have already been rewarded with 2-6 WTC already.

Anything you mine will be yours. The real mainnet will go live once there are enough nodes, at that point you can transfer your WTC into the wallet and begin staking. At this stage it's just mining.

Done. Apparently I am mining, though I can't see anything happening. Have created a wallet, selected "extremely fast" because I like to live on the edge, and am mining.

I have no idea what the stats are like etc, never looked into it, but the thing says:

Network Computing Power Estimated Value: 6739670907
Local Computing Power Estimated Value: 137294
Estimated Block Mining Value: 2.0

Any idea what the hell that means?

The first number is the total network hash, the second number is your computer’s rate. Seems like you’re clocking a decent amount!

Not really sure what the block mining value is, I’m on 2.0 also.

You’ll see your mined WTC in the box below if you manage to get some. I’ve still got nothing.

Yeah nothing here either lol.

This mining is great, you use up all your electricity for no reward!
