this is one of the finest posts i have seen on bigfooty.. needs to be brought to attention

also makes me proud that we only have one incident that i can think of over the past few years..

however would like your thoughts on whether you would want our club to be in the news more or are happy that we are a low key club in terms of our players bonking school girls, bashing taxi drivers, riding in cars with murderers or drink driving?

do you see it as either:

I realise I won't be well received in this thread, but...

I will be the first to admit we don't have the best culture. I get ribbings for it all the time from friends, and other than St Kilda, it's seriously hard to defend against. I'd like to think that we are improving, but it doesn't seem like it.

However, that list is the biggest crock of shit I've ever seen. In an effort to make the list seem larger than it is, there are things listed in which our players are victims. How are Dane Swan getting punched and not retaliating, Travis Cloke getting a bullet fired at his house and being assaulted, and Pendlebury being king hit (even with hearsay as a defence - which isn't fair in any case) issues of poor Collingwood culture? How is an idiot fan bashing Nathan Jones' dad indicative of poor player culture? How are alleged incidents, incidents? How is Heath Shaw's drinking + punishment, two separate issues?

Getting into a car with a person who would subsequently become a murderer
