Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
It's got a 3 lane indoor 25 meter lap pool and hot and cold plunge pools with magnesium water for recovery and that's just the start. It's a ridiculously big upgrade.
No it's awesome you can get it in your own pool instead of chlorine. You absorb magnesium better through your skin it's amazing for muscle recovery better than standing in the salt water in the ocean. They use it in those float Tanks.Magnesium water. Haha. Sounds like a gimmick.
Seriously happy though we've got something that matches up with some of our other competitors

i'd say the club would be holding out until after trade period to see if they are worth keeping on, can find a trade to accomodate them or to delist them.Any news on Jack Leslie or Clay Cameron?

As l said 'world class'.
Im stunned by it. I think Jack Leslie is great. Don't know why he hasn't got more of a run personally. Clay..ahh..not so fussedAny news on Jack Leslie or Clay Cameron?
Is Leslie actually that good?
I haven't seen him play a hell of a lot being over here, that is why I was asking people who are closer to the action. How about you give us your opinion?
I think he is
Great size and speed for a tall defender
In his one game this year he had 15 possessions (7 contested) at 93% efficiency, 4 marks (3 contested), 9 spoils, 7 rebound 50's
Why wouldn't we give him more of a run? I think it would be a mismanagement of our assets just to let him go.
There are numerous studies and books about the benefits of magnesium and its benefits to athletes. Deficiency in minerals is always debatable with such things as even vitamin RDAs profiles being highly debated by many experts.I'm all for cutting edge technology and I'm super happy our club is taking things seriously with regard to physical performance. With the injuries we've had we need it!
In saying that,
Do you know of any research that actually shows its better? I can't imagine that these guys would be magnesium deficient so not too clear on how it is supposed to aid muscle recovery. Did a search of actual medical / sports medicine / physiology journals and couldn't find any actual evidence basis to support their beneficial effects.
These were the closest things if anyone interested.
https://jissn.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12970-015-0081-z (magnesium supplementation found to have no significant benefit)
https://jissn.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1550-2783-10-7 (apparently deep ocean mineral water leads to better recovery)
http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0085486 (potentially some benefit in rats)
The fact that 'house of nature' luxury day spa for women, couples and groups is championing its benefits but it is not seen in any proper sports physiology / medical journals makes me think its more gimmick than anything else.
Theres always a placebo effect though so might make them play better if they believe in the magic of magnesium water!
Is Leslie actually that good?
He's got all the attributes to be good, and some of his NEAFL performances have been really good, but its hard to say how good he is untill he gets a continued run in the seniors, but Rocket seems to love the combo of May/Rory and doesn't seem to want the 3 talls down back as Day can swing there if needed.
Tom has re-signed....
Lynch joins captain Gary Ablett as a multiple club champion at the Suns.
The 23-year-old won the award in a landslide on a night that also saw the Suns announce a new two-year deal for ruckman Tom Nicholls.
Good pick up. I found the Courier Mail article here so that's good enough for me. OP updated.I didn't make this up......I copied and pasted from an article, I think was on the Suns website, referring to Tom's win in the B&F. I've searched again but can't find it.
Matchu has updated the OP and it's not listed. So does anyone know what's going down. Has he re-signed or not.

It now means Nicholls, along with Gaz and Lynch, will become free agents in 2018.
So gone:
Keough (rookie)
Stanley (nominated rookie)
Russell
Tape
Going:
Prestia
O'Meara
Likely/rumored to go:
Cameron
Loersch (rookie)
Malceski (if rumor about his knee being gone is true and moving to pure coaching role)
Likely to be traded:
Leslie
Matera
Schade
Open up 9 senior spots and 2 rookie spots
If we bring in Bowes, Scheer, Williams and Joyce in through draft that would leave 5 senior spots and 3 rookie spots (2 if we rookie Cameron)
Yeah we have to re-sign Leslie. I would love to rookie Cameron too, not interested in Schade. I'm sure other clubs would be interested in Leslie and Cameron so it might be a problem. If Loersch goes.
Cameron and Leslie Schade too
Who the hell plays full forward in the 2s
And who are full back and CHB lol
One of the great circle jerks in Bigfooty history is happening on the Magpies board , with someone having info 2MP is about to request a trade to Collingwood , very entertaining over 100 posts , if you want to kill 15 mins i recommend a visit.
yep, surely after looking at AFL affiliate teams in the VFL and seeing them half filled with local players, it should have been obvious that an AFL size list can't consistently put out 2 teams a week. Thats 44 players! And instead of mature local players to fill out the team, we have to put in 17 and 18 year old kids which while it does give them experience if they're good enough, means we just aren't competitive enough unless we have very minimal injuries and/or have a GWS like amount of star academy players consistently coming through.Surely interstate teams without the massive feeder comps Melbourne/Adelaide/Perth have should be allowed to have more palyers on their list that can't be upgraded to play in the seconds
If you had a core group of journeyman playing NEAFL , maybe 6, that dont have the option of being rookied or upgraded it would make a huge difference to Queensland and NSW
