With pick #42 the Uptown Five select the husband of a former Miss Universe, Al Horford

slideshow_1002323862_022812atlawards_CC1.jpg

Al Horford is a great fit for my team. Alongside KG, my front court defense is sublime. He's a top notch defender who can also score, averaging approx 15ppg and 10rebs.

PG Steve Nash
SG James Harden (Non All-Star starter)
SF Kevin Durant
PF Kevin Garnett (team you support)
C Al Horford

I've got elite talent. I've got big men who can score. I've got versatility. I've got a good mix of youth and experience. I've got the best beard in the NBA. I've got someone married to a Miss Universe, and someone who has very possibly nailed Kate Upton. I've got a Canadian. I've got an angry man.

Balance. My team is all about balance

I need a big man and I need to satisfy the player from the team I support so im taking ...

Joakim Noah

Great defender, can score and rebound, hustles his ass off. Energy bloke. Happy to use him as the guy from the team i support at Rose and Deng are already gone.

a fantastic pick

surprised he fell this far to be honest. the best french big man in the eastern conference by far. doesnt mind mixing it up with big egos in the league (lebrone). Will put in 100% every game, unlike other cheese eating surrender monkeys

Quoting so it's on this page and not omitted.

i reckon violation of the rule will lead to a celebrity poster making their next selection for them. for lulz.

Need a SG with my next pick. I take...

Ray Allen

All time leader in made 3's. The ultimate floor spreader. Perfect SG to play next to LeBron. With defenses continually collapsing on LBJ he is gonna reign from deep. Veteran leadership too. Super smart player.

So that rounds out my starting 5.

C - Joakim Noah (player from team I support)
PF - Blake Griffin
SF - LeBron James
SG - Ray Allen
PG - John Wall (starting non all star and less that two full seasons)

wait, you got lebrone??? Ah crap, good luck keeping joke him and lebrone away from killing each other

I cannot believe my next 2 picks are still available.

Wow, like nufan I now had a huge issue because none of who has been chosen was on my radar. Filthy knowing that my next must have will surely be gone next time I choose but I feel I need to fill out my starting 5 so . . .

Danny Granger.

I am loathe to pick him because to Indy he is a defensive liability and a chucker at times, and it frustrates me, but he is a team first man and Dwight, Timmy D and Arron Afflalo will be able to cover his defenisive misses plenty, and he's getting plenty more open looks on the perimeter with Dwight and Timmy D operating inside which he will knock down at great clip.

C: Dwight Howard
PF: Tim Duncan
SF: Danny Granger
SG: Arron Afflalo
PG: Rajon Rondo

Like a boss.

How does John Wall count as less than 2 years? Thought it was only rookies and sophmores with serious injuries. John Wall played every game this season and 69 in his first season.

Why not just make the rule a player that has played less than 148 games. By definition the amount of games in the last 2 season?

That's how I was planning around it anyway

I think a common sense approach is the best way forward.

If a second year player missed played more than two-thirds of a season, i'd say that doesn't count.

Happy for other ideas to address this, but lets keep it 'common sense'

I like this approach.

The rule says less that 2 full season. Wall by that definition qualifies.

what if a player was a rookie 3 seasons ago, got injured, played a bit last year, got injured again, and play some this year...all the while less than 148 games?

you could basically pick greg oden ;):D

I think a common sense approach is the best way forward.

this is bigfooty.

I really think it should be less than 2 seasons, along DMC and Monroe eligibile. Having both rookies and sophomores makes it a lot better

Well thanks for ruining my next pick

This is what I initially thought it was, which is why I wanted DMC.

I mean I took him anyway, but I'd prefer him to count as both.

Okay I need a SG to round out my starting 5.

Iggy is 90% defence and 10% offence, so I'm going to balance that out with a guy who is 110% offence:

monta_ellis_bg_01.jpg

"Man, I've lost count of how many shots I've taken this quarter."

Ellis is one of the best scorers in the league, but with CP3 running the show he won't need to chuck up 40 shots per game. Fits in perfectly.

C - DeMarcus Cousins
PF - Pau Gasol
SF - Andre Iguodala
SG - Monta Ellis
PG - Chris Paul

having a PG wont stop mon-tay from taking 40 shots a game.

he's also played less than two-thirds of the season in the past two years. i think.

With this pick before the GM hits they hay, the Stunts are very happy this player landed in their lap.

With the bold choice of picking a bench player (6th man AND under 2 seasons of NBA) before rounding out a starting 5. The Cunning Stunts present to you............

Rubio Rubio RU...BI....OOOOOOOOOOO

url

Teams should fear the pace of the Stunts offence with this man coming off the bench.

Confidence is high in the front office with all drafting criteria met and team of stars things can only look up, especially with 3 names in mind still on the draft board.

PG: Rose
SG: Gordon (supported team)
SF: ???????
PF: Randolph
C: Chandler (non all star starter)

6th man : Rubio (less than 2 sesons)
