Surely it will be more than 40K???

Its Melbourne mate and our season is in no mans land atm.

Not a genuine finals chance nor a wooden spooner.

They'll be 30k - 35k of Essendon fans and thats it.

i hope we can get 40K. watchin the northvmelb game yesterday and it was a disgrace. they could have played at optus oval and not even filled it.

although im lovin playin at the g on a saturday afternoon. we should move back to the 'g IMO, shits all over the dome

Crowd should be more than 40k but this all depends on how many Melbourne supporters turn up. We know Essendon fans will get out there and support the team but Melbourne have had some shocking turnouts in the past couple of weeks.

yeah ive got a few mates for Box Hill playing.

There is a chance of one bloke being picked up this year, don't think he will tho but Sandy are lookin to put him on their list...

Just missed out on umpiring in the VSSSA Championships, just didn't have enough accreditations in the end, which I will be working on next year, getting past a few levels if possible. Not sure if I will be going to the curtain raiser, bit of a waste of time, may as well just rock up three-quarters of an hour early to get some nice seats in the MCC area for the main match though, the Bombers.

Unfortunately, I'd say a crowd estimate of 38,000 is pretty reasonable.

Back in 1995, when we played Melbourne early in the season and we were flying and they hadn't won a game, we got 60,000.

I'd love, personally, to see over 50,000 there today. We all know Melbourne won't have barely any supporters, but if the Bomber fans can get out there in force, it'd be fantastic for the club.

Having said this, I, personally, have been disappointed with our past 2 crowds v. Richmond and v. Collingwood last week.

Bearing those in mind, those were two pretty big games, so I cannot see that big of a turnout this Saturday in what may loom as somewhat of a dead rubber.

64K last week was reasonable and as we should have I really believe we outnumbered the Pies. Last night was there home game against the Hawks and they were definitely off the bandwagon with only 58K and majority being Hawks.

Today with the sun shining (as I speak), even though windy I'd be guessing 45K wouldn't be unreasonable.

It's the club's day where interstate and country supporter groups all come back to the club to have dinner and meet the players so we know we'll have their support today.

With the good chance of a win we will see majority of our supporter base turn up.

GO BOMBERS!

good call brad. Over 46k today, massively outnumbered the dee's.

Didnt expect that many bombers fans to turn up for a practically dead rubber.
