Fidel I have also heard the rumour but my source in not so reliable. Sounds a bit ordinary after he did a reasonable job. My source says there is an old coach returning to the sewerage farm

Rumours are true that Beddoe has not been re-appointed. Next years coach has not been finalised. Club meeting coming soon. It wasn't Pauls coaching record the club wasn't happy with. Will find out more soon.

Oakleigh to win GF by about 35 points. Also interesting to see if La Trobe can win the reserves GF in D2 and be relegated to D3.
 
Heard Ivanhoe haven't Reappointed Garrard either. Is that correct Coach Hollywood? They will probably be looking for a non playing coach next year instead. Will you be staying on as an assistant or player next season as the King hopes so?:thumbsu:

Hey Gary - Have you got any more news about the Beddoe ? I thought he did pretty well for a side coming up from D3.

Sloth no news yet. Committee meeting tomorrow night. I think it has nothing to do with his coaching style or how many games were won and lost. Few of the boys were a bit surprised by the decision. It will be interesting once everyone finds out.
 
Today Oakleigh smashed Peninsula by 66 points in a one sided encounter. The margin in the last quarter drifted towards 100 points but six goals in the last quarter added some respect to the Peninsula score. It was clearly evident from the first bounce that Oakleigh was on song. Peninsula was second to the ball and at times made some critical decision making errors. In several of the centre clearances Oakleigh made Peninsula look heavy and slow. It was my thought that the best player was Ash Kitts for Oakleigh. Peninsula didn't have a clear winner over the ground. The only other significant moment was in the third quarter when the Peninsula coach executed a crude bump. He can count himself very fortunate not to be reported or sent off. He had the pro Oakleigh crowd up in arms after the incident. In Summary good luck to both team in D1 in 2007 and well done to the Krushers.
 
Congratulations to Oakleigh & La Trobe in the 2's on their great wins yesterday. All the best for next season to the remaining D2 teams and the new one's who will be joining them.

Yeah Sloth. Some people around the club not happy with the off field part. I've heard that they would have liked him to play a part in more social events at the club and have the volunteers recognised a bit more. There seems to be a bit more to it that they aren't telling any one as well.

I was speaking to a guy who knows Paul on the weekend and he said it might have been the opposite - he was too involved with the social side of things.

Coach, Bentleigh will be interesting if they keep Dimma. We played Emmaus in a pre season game and got over the top of them, but they had a few players out. It might be a lot tighter next year rather than the runaway teams like Peninsula and Oakleigh.
 
I see Aquinas have already reappointed Glassborow for next year and DenBraber is continuing. Got a lot of young kids and should be very strong next year.

totally agree, the boys from Willy will be on the march next year.Keen to make amends for this years performance where they really did play below themselves for the first half of the year.
