As Geoff Lawson said..."apart from Andrew Symonds, he hits the ball as hard as anyone in Australia. He bowls at a very lively pace, is an excellent fielder & is a future Australia player."

Its strange that he didnt bowl much for NSW last season. I rememeber a few years back he was selected for the Aus academy team on a tour of New Zealand & he was playing as one of the strike bowlers. His batting must have developed amazingly over the last few years. Now he is a genuine all-rounder. Hopefully NSW use his medium-fast bowling as a big part of there attack next season.

He could be a very good ODI player.

Stopped reading after the bolded bit. Lawsons sole requirement for Test and ODI cricketers (regardless of actual talent) is a Light Blue Cap/Uniform.

He'll probably be a handy List-A player, but I've seen nothing demonstrating that he's up to international standard.

Thats cause hes 22 or something

How he was continually given a blue cap over Tom Cooper is beyond me, considering his UNSW teammate outscored him in nearly every game. Watch this name.

Probably won't play for Australia.

Not a good enough bowler to be an all roudner (and has a history of back problems if i'm correct yeah??), and not a good enough batsman to be a batsman in the team. not playing FC cricket, and scored just one fifty in 9 bats last season in the one-day game.... that's ok for someone who's only 19 or 20 and is being blooded through the ranks. But by the age of 24 you'd wanna be doing far more than that.

Yeah he does have loads of talent but so do about 200 other guys around Australia....

By the way that Tom Cooper is one hell of a young batsman, and so's Peter Forrest.

Been on fire with the ball this season, and handy with the bat.

Made the PM's XI, so obviously the selectors have an eye on him.

Could be an interesting one if he continues his form next season...

I don't know about higher honours, but NSW could certainly have done with him this season.

He doesn't mind trying a few different shots in the nets, sweeps off quicks and flicks over the head. Flicked one into the grill of Tait apparently. Awesome stuff.

lol he's not in the frame at all, no where near it. Even with the current state of the national side.

Both he and Tom Cooper were playing for the same grade team in Sydney and both moved to SA due to limited opportunities in the state team. Good players.

Good player without being that great but Australia doesn't need a player that struggles to make 40 and gets the odd wicket.

He's a dangerous hitter but much like Ronchi (well even he's made FC 100s at least) he finds ways to get out in situations that other batsmen avoid.
