Twice we were a game outside the top 4 and a double chance and we've proved we're quite capable of beating most of the top 8 sides outside of Geelong over the last 3 years, not just once or twice but actually beating them regularly, but you're right we were just looking for a quick fix rather than building a list for sustained success.

the coach answers to him

the recruiting and list management team answer to him

he personally gets involved in major trades and re-signings

he is the one who decides footy dept resources

any failure of the footy dept from a structural sense, ultimately is on him. tactics and strategy and prep, dimma and the coaches have to wear. But the vast majority of our footy dept rides on this man. the questions on development, recruiting, failed trades, and shit resourcing - they all go back to him to answer.

If what Discount said was true and we can be fairly confident it was as no one at the club has come out to suggest otherwise. Then the entire joint has sold us the supporters a lie. Plain and simple.

What a lot of crap , I've been a member for over thirty years and if someone came to me with some **** and bull plan that it would take 8 years to succeed and make finals , I'd say you re not trying hard enough.
Under the circumstances , you need to improvise overcome and adapt , in which case we did.

We think we did that, 4 year turnaround from when Damien took over when the club was at rock bottom was a good effort, but we knew we needed to get some greater talent into the team and that's the reason for the focus on the draft and youth over the last couple of years - don't see him asking for congratulations.

2. we turned it around in 4, which I think was a terrific achievement but," - again no asking for congratulations

3. as we know there is really only one winner and 17 losers every year, and yeah while it's been disappointing somewhat to not win a final, it's been a good achievement playing finals the last 3 years in a row for what the first time in 20 years for the club, so we're pleased with that, but we're certainly not pleased with the way that we're going now and we certainly needed to get a bit of young talent into the club and we've done that with our list of the last couple of years - don't see anything there about wanting congratulations, a good achievement making finals and being pleased with that yes, but no looking for praise.

Really man ? Like if someone came to you 8 years ago and said that you would be gunning for a second flag as we speak from where we were coming from you would have not been ok with that ? Where have I said that the club has done nothing wrong? It has done plenty wrong, but it has also done a lot right, I'd suggest a lot more has gone right than wrong over the last few years. You don't make finals 3 years straight beating most of the top 8 sides along the way if they aren't. Now we need to do everything possible to improve on those results, might not happen this year, but we're in a good a position as we've been in a long time to recover and make another charge starting next year especially if we can add some genuine quality to the list at seasons end.

I said how did their journey go by comparison , I mean yeah I really hated watching those all those winning games , would have been so much happier had dan Richardson told us to brace ourselves for a nuclear winter like Melbourne has endured and we d be so much happier ,,,,,gimme a break, if your gonna talk tripe , at least head it with a warning
