and yes I attend every game North play in Victoria and have not missed a since 1978.

I am a pennants member at North aand have paid extra to get an upgrade that gives me entry to away Melbourne games, another great idea.

jod- people in WA love to think that the rest of the nation is against them and that victoria has it in for them etc etc.
From where i sit, it seems much more like apathy than hate.
Victorians just dont give a stuff about the eagles (or WA), and Im sure they have all got over the cup leaving them for the first time over 8 years ago. (esp since its left victoria for SA twice since).
Its actually been one of the funniest things about living in WA. There is a definite inferiority complex with the eastern states and so WA people feel they have "stick it up 'em" to prove theyre just as good. Which is why west aussies like to think theres a huge us vs them thing happening. er.....there isnt.
Its actually all SA vs Victoria and WA gets ignored.

LMAO.

PS- Eagle fan- sorry if these comments rile you a bit- i know your "one of the good ones"

I just want to pick up on something that Arch wrote, and that was the thing about WA needing to stick it up Victoria. The early 90s Eagles were a fantastic side, but they seemed to have that extra drive, that extra motivation to, as Arch put it, to stick it up Victoria. West Coast proved themselves to be the best in '92 and '94, but does the current squad have the same drive, the same motivation to prove to Victoria that they are the best? Or doesn't it matter?

I know that in '99, North won about half a dozen games by less than a goal, and in most of those games, we fought back from 4 to 6 goal margins. You could see that the team were driven to make up for '98. We're seeing the same from Essendon this year in that they're out to make up for the perceived injustice of '98. Do the Eagles have that motivation that turns teams from being just very good to premiers?

And anyway do you have a guide dog cos you must be blind of coursetheres an us vs them, we want to stick it to the vics and ive got news for you so do Adelaide, Port, Freo, Brisbane and the Swans. Because we all know thats its still not a truly national game so why not stick to em. And Arch if you hate WA so much and love Victoria then bugger off and go back we wont miss you
