That's right, the great man will play his 150th AFL game next week in the 2010 AFL Grand Final versus the Saints.
It's only fitting, that the player that is about to join the likes of Kyne, Buckley and Rose as threepeat Copeland winners, plays his 150th on the grandest day of all.
Swan joined Collingwood from the Calder Cannons via the 2001 draft (pick 58, round 4), and while he only played 30 games in his first 4 seasons at the club, most at Collingwood knew of the talent the man possessed.
After some initial off field problems, Dane "knuckled down" and over the past 3-4 season has become not only an elite midfielder, but also one of the standout footballers of his generation.
The man who proudly wears number 36, has had back to back season with over 750 disposals, which no player in the history of the game has.
Swan should be awarded the Brownlow medal on Monday Night, but the quietly spoke (at least in front of the media) young man would tell anyone he would swap it for a win on Saturday.
So, Congratulations Dane Swan, on 150 amazing games for the Collingwood Football Club, and may your 150th be your most memorable yet.
GO SWANNY.
