Dane Swan has apparently been given his 3rd strike..
This information has come from the Girlfriend of one of our top 5 players.

A friend of mine is friends with her.

I would be absolutely mortified if this was true, i feel physically ill..

I know alot will call bullshit as this has been floating about for a while..

But i thought i should pass this on.

If it is true, it will be announced today..

Please don't shoot the messenger, if nothing comes to light and you feel i should be carded for this thread, so be it.. But i mean no malice..

Who knows..? they might have not been far off the mark.. maybe it was a 2nd strike and not a third..

Like i said, coming from a players girlfriend is not a good sign.

FFS, use your heads. If the AFL were desperate enough to cover up a third strike then surely they'd stop "randomly" testing the layer when he got to two.

Yeah no problem with you posting the thread, but this came up about four days ago.

Adrian Anderson said he was not aware of anything, and he'd be the first to know if anything had happened.

Just people trying to tarnish Swan's reputation, hence my post about the ridiculous cover-up theory that was then perpetuated.

Na I heard he is on two and I dont know if I am allowed to name the players but a person I know quiet well who never talks crap told me Swan is on 2, one ver high profile player at the Hawks is on 2 (Not Franklin), I was very shocked about it, 2 Richmond players are on 2 and 1 Richmond player is on 1. But aparantly its a Hawthorn player that has tested positive three times. I think the player wont suprise anyone. I think the source is pretty credible. I am not sure if I am allowed to name names, if someone would life to know feel free to PM me.

If this is true why any Pies fan would start such a rumour is beyond me if he is correct surely we are going to get enough s*** from other teams fans without one of our own starting it.

You do all know that if anyone has 1 or 2 strikes the only person notified at the club is the doctor, not even the CEO, Coach or President knows.

So I seriously doubt any rumour about who is on 1, 2 or a possible 3rd is anywhere near true.

Why would Swan continuely joke about being tested [ ie they havent caught me yet ] wouldnt think he would be joking about it if he was having a couple of strikes having over his head.

Mate I had a big row with a mod (Brown Dog) over him perpetuating a rumour like this and it is so disapointing to hear a Pies fan starting a rumour like this we have to put with enough already from other teams fans without one of us starting them,

The s*** will hit the fan and we will be busy trying to defend the club as it is and we have to stick together no other b******* will defend the club.

I just hope it is untrue,no player gets more rumours spread about him than Swan and until he has been proven to have done the wrong thing he deserves our support like any other player at the club.

I really doubt you'll ever hear about a big name player on 3 strikes. AFL doesn't want that on their image, which is why Tuck was busted. Tuck was the example the AFL used to make it seem like they're doing something about drugs.

Most AFL players hit the recreational drugs pretty hard, from all clubs.

AFL can't bust them all otherwise there'd be no players and basically no competition left.

I mean, Ben Cousins was a pretty hard drug user and never even got ONE strike, so don't sit there and tell me any other big names are on 2 or 3 because it's bullshit.

They won't hide it, they find other ways to not bust players.

Like timing the tests in a way that avoids actually busting players. AFL would never allow a marquee player to be busted. Would do too much damage. Especially Swan given everything that went on with him last year.
