Not sure where he is at currently...

Just looked very iffy today and has been well below his best the last few weeks.

We all know his best is ELITE, however something isn't right....

He still looks incredibly sore. He obviously needs to rest. Watching him gulp in air after yet another hit to his ribs is just painful.

No problem at all if they decide to give him a rest, We are not anywhere near a flag, So try and look after players like Danger.

With those 'sore ribs' or whatever it is, he cant do what makes him Dangerfield. Which is be the brute, multiple efforts, multiple opponents, crash through. He now has one effort, gets hurt and is slow to get up. He is still contributing, but not like we know him. 15 touches from him isn't enough, as his disposal, doesn't nor has it ever have, oozed class. 15 from McLeod could win a game, same as Hodge, Ablett, Pendelbury etc. Danger is different, he needs full fitness so he can take on 4 opponents at once.

Clearly not fit, he's a defensive liability in the contest when he takes an extra 30 secs to get up after being tackled. His disposal this season has left a lot to be desired - I like that he uses his left foot regularly but it almost seems to be his preferred option despite the result! Roo was a battering ram in his younger days as Danger is now, Patty needs to adapt his game so it's not so taxing on his body. We love his application and desire to get the contested footy but sometimes I feel that he would be more effective if he could "settle down" a bit and use his line breaking outside run more.

He doesn't have a broken rib, but wouldn't surprise me if he has persisting/chronic niggles. Think his bulldog style inside the contest is really catching up with him. Seen him do that sort of 'jump up over the pack and handpass' thingo a few times and gets slammed into the ground everytime. He was great for the first quarter but as the game went on these things seemed to catch up with him. idk

Watch the so called 'supporters' turn on him now.

We love eating our own and someone just said, "lucky we are not Richmond"

Nope - we are Adelaide and we do the same.

Surely any true Adelaide fan wouldn't turn on our best player? He's not the reason for our dismal performances, it's the other passengers! Perhaps he wouldn't be in his current state if his colleagues (and umpires) protected him a little more.

Correct but give it time. They will just out them self as everyone who posts on this board with Adelaide next to their name - doesn't necessarily support the club. We have some trolls who masquerade as crows fans.

We aren't 'turning' on him...

We are asking legitimate questions of our main key player.

Indirectly im asking if we are managing him correctly.

Cheers.

Unless you have a guilty conscience - I didn't say you were.

Sando pregame said that hes never 100% but that Dfield at 95% is still a very good player. But hes not at 95%, hes at more like 60%. IMO hes not getting enough support in shaking the tag, his team mates need to be getting stuck into the guys that are beating up on him and put other clubs on notice that it wont be tolerated.

Turn on him? Turn it up Mr. Negativity.
Its a forum for discussion, wow! we discuss how a certain player is not playing as they were last year...
Do you understand discussion? Opinions? Or just extreme black and white?
